Trey Blount was the Bulldogs first receiver commit and he continued the run of commits from the state of Georgia that started out this class.

Blount is a 6’2″ wide receiver from Pace Academy in Georgia and he held offers from many top programs around the country, including many SEC teams. He is not one of the Bulldogs highest rated wide receivers but he will add some more size to a receiving corps that has lacked height in the past.

Blount also did a good job of recruiting other players and eventually helped the Bulldogs land one of his fellow high school teammates. Blount is not done either as he is working hard to help get future Pace Academy players like 2018 offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer to commit to the Bulldogs, as well.

Blount may not be the highest rated receiver that the Bulldogs have earned a commitment from in this class, but I do not expect his talents to go to waste. I believe this recruiting class will help build depth for the Bulldogs receiving corps, but that each receiver will make an impact at some time.

Blount is not a receiver that I believe will make a huge impact on the Bulldogs next season, but as he grows and develops he could make an impact in the future.
