ZippyMorocco Greg Poole Morning Zip…  Right, it’s those steroid chickens or something!  i watch my son’s team and I’m amazed at the size and speed of these kids now a days.

Need some advice from the Pros!

My little brother is finishing up his sophomore year, he is 6’3 almost 6’4 175lbs and runs a 4.72 40 right now. Just the last season he truly got serious in the weight room and improving his speed and agility. My parents recently hired a WR/speed coach for him to work on his routes.  I do not think he is the talent level for top DIV1 schools, but who knows. (no offense to him)

However, how can he get into some of the bigger camps? Currently he plays on a travel 7-on-team and plays in a different state every weekend pretty much right now. However, the camps have all changed since I played and was recruited over a decade ago now. Any advice from those that frequent the camps?

Greg Poole Reddawg13 In the mean time, local businesses should cash in on the traveling northerners!

AlphaDawg Reddawg13 Yes, agree. The staff he was able to hire as a first year HC was amazing to me.

MMCSDAWG Reddawg13 Greg Poole I totally agree. And Ramsey is a wild card as you say. Lambert is NOT the man.

Reddawg13 I think most HCs live and die by their coordinators. Good hires, good discipline, good recruiting.

Reddawg13 Greg Poole Yes we do Red!  I am still predicting Eason as our starter game #1!  He has 4 months of additional time to learn a playbook and expand his connection with our team.  The only wild card I see is Ramsey.  If he is somehow able to put it all together this summer he could be our starter, but I still believe it will be Eason.  Some people believe Lambert gives us the best chance to win game 1…  I don’t understand or agree with that assessment.   I believe our best opportunity to win comes from starting the QB with the most talent period.  Will Chaney and Kirby manage the playbook and the system to minimize turnovers and limit his reliance on throwing into unexpected coverage’s?  I believe the answer is Yes.  We will have a pretty darn good running game with Chubb, Sony, Hollyfield, etc.  Last I looked it’s not like UNC was a top run stopping defense in the country.  We are LOADED at TE and I loved the formations that Chaney put out on the field during G-day that lined the TE’s up in multiple positions both on and off the LOS, split out, etc.  My final decision is based on 1 simple question.  The dawgs are trailing UNC by 4 points, there is less than 2 minutes on the clock, we have only 1 timeout remaining and the ball on our own 32 yard line needing a TD to win.  Who do you want as our QB and who gives you the best chance to drive the length of the field in under 2 minutes.  Who can make all the throws you need in this situation?  The answer for me is Eason.

Kirby learned from the best. Kirby has more personality. Kirby works just as hard or harder. Kirby is an alum. Kirby is in Athens not Tuscaloosa. Kirby has more talent close by. Kirby has better looking uniforms. Sounds like a recipe for some great success to me! Of course time will tell, but in my mind time is as excited as the rest of us!

Reddawg13 My prediction is that these events will drop out of the news radar quickly

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG, it appears you and I think alike about a lot of stuff on here!

  15. Reddawg13

Greg Poole Yes we will see multiple QB’s at the opener. Number 10 will be on the field and the other three will be on the sidelines, but we will still be able to see them, so the answer is “yes.”

Greg Poole Part of the reason why a dash cam is such a valuable investment. I may have gotten out of the car after that and given him a real reason to be laying on the ground.

DawgDaddy AlphaDawg dr was 4 hours behind so the surgery was a lot later than expected. Last I heard she was in recovery and resting. Thanks for asking. I’m dependent on my aunt right now to give me updates and I would feel more confident if you gave a 5 year old a phone to text me updates
