Don’t bring food to G-Day for the food bank. The organization will accept monetary donation at gate 10.

Greg Poole Bulltoad I’ve got a cousin who is going out for the walk on tryouts. He had to get a lot done to get qualified

Bulltoad In-state kids with good grades get HOPE and as PWOs get access to tutoring, team meals and other programs benefits. It is a good deal for them. Especially since they get a closer look by the staff.

Colonial Dawg AlphaDawg It looks like they are targeting some kids with Ivy league academics for the walk on program.  I saw a tweet from a local high school kid this weekend who is supposed to be going ivy league and he was up there at Saturday’s scrimmage.

Colonial Dawg We have a segment in the podcast about the unusual number of walk-ons this year. Kirby is giving kids a shot without tying up ‘ships.

AlphaDawg I think I missed one.  ‘Splain please.  PWO?  4.65 GPA???  Wow!

Greg Poole Good article,  but I don’t understand vertical speed, can someone explain that for me.

Living in this area I had to watch the Nationals broadcast of yesterday’s game.  Those guys take “homerism” to a whole new level.  Oh, and I can’t stand Bryce Harper.  Great player, just can’t stand him.  Really like Ryan Zimmerman though.   Anyway, the Braves really had their chance to come away with a win yesterday.  The throw from Inciarte was perfect, just eluded Pierzynski.  I am hoping for a team at least a little better than last year.
