BahitsDawg IYH_BI Greg Poole My only problem with Saban is him putting a whopping on us 2 of the last three times we played his team.

Greg Poole Toughness and competitiveness, if you hate to lose that is what we are looking for! How many times did we hear after we lost one of those unexplained games. Well we competed hard but didn’t execute, but hey we are still in it, we just need win and have some other teams to lose, we just need a little help and we will be fine. If the coach teaches toughness and competitiveness and hates to lose and the players practice this behavior then wins will stack up! Jmho!

Colonial Dawg Greg Poole One look at that campus and the surroundings would change my mind on coaching there…  They would have to pay a Premium to get me anywhere near Techwood!

Greg Poole Tech seems to be having a “little” difficulty filling their coaching vacancy.  Aw, darn!!

IYH_BI Morning IYH!  Me too!  Love the Masters and can’t wait for the G-day game!

Greg Poole AlphaDawg Sounds like work to me!  I know it’s more work than I plan on doing today!  lol

“It was great,” Bishop said. “The coaches and atmosphere in Athens were amazing. It was even better than I thought it would be. It was my favorite time, just getting to see everything and talk football with the coaches.”
Bishop says he stayed overnight in Athens, with a trio of former five-star recruits.
“I hung out with Jacob Eason and Isaac Nauta, and then later on, I hung out with Trent Thompson,” Bishop said. “Eason is a pretty cool guy – I like his demeanor and how he carries himself. He seems pretty humble. Isaac and I were talking about our recruitment, and he was giving me pointers. Trent is my big guy from right up the road – we are both from the 229 – so I love when we get together.”

AlphaDawg Kirby practices are more like the increased intensity that Richt instituted before last year’s Alabama game. However, the intensity died down last year, but not in 2016.

That Alabama week of practice last fall was so dramatically different that it belied the assertion by Richt that the UGA vs. Bama game was just another week in the SEC.

Oh, he absolutely knows what he’s doing. He is confident, assertive and all over the practice field. If he is not successful at UGA, it will not be because he was not ready to become a head coach.

    Sabin on leaving early:
“That conversation is all about value. If you get a third-round grade, here’s what your value is, here’s how much you’re going to make, here’s the contract you’re going to have, and can you improve your stock by coming back to college and doing these things? We’ve had six or seven guys with second- and third-round grades that became first-round picks and made a significant amount of more money because they increased their value for themselves, and they graduated.”
Saban added, “Ninety-seven guys go out early for the draft — you can make any excuse you want, poor family or whatever — if you’re going to get drafted in a position where you don’t have a very good chance of making a team and you could have improved your value by staying in school, you should stay in school. …  When you get a contract as a third- or fourth-round pick, you are stuck with that contract for three or four years. You can say you’re going to make the Pro Bowl, but you still get paid the same. If you go back to college and become a first-round pick, you make a lot more money.”

Wonder if I can catch a glimpse of my fellow union brothers on TV. They are supporting the TV and sound crews.

Greg Poole SEC schools should be blocked from camps within other SEC school states.  Inside their state, they should be allowed to have a camp anywhere.  Outside of SEC school states, fair game, camp anywhere in them.

    jmho

  12. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole AlphaDawg Now that you’ve got a few practices under your belt, do you notice any major changes in how practices are done, different drills, etc, than what Richt was doing? Does Kirby seem to know what he’s doing, or does he look lost?

  13. Jesse1

Greg Poole AlphaDawg Going to go hang with Jerry and Eugene for a bit. No longer the Beer Running Dawg. But I do know the short cuts.

  14. Jesse1

Greg Poole Having ones head in the game is in the same equation as preparation meeting opportunity. When the three meet at the intersection, great things will happen.

AlphaDawg Morning rush to get the site set for the day. Practice this afternoon, player interviews after.
    Beats working!

  16. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole AlphaDawg Just sipping some coffee and catching up on the news. what about you?

  17. Jesse1

ZippyMorocco Jesse1 Greg Poole Stanley Booth is still ahead of you…..for the moment. As an aside, according to Stanley were Ben Fong-Torres, author of that horrid book “Hickory Wind” to ever step foot in Ware County, he’ll likely end up as chum for the alligators.   Find the shoe orgies in Cherokee Heights in the late 40’s early 50’s? Even if it happened, which is doubtful, a writer with honest intention doesn’t hang on the word pearls of 4th and 5th sources removed.
