TtownDawg Greg Poole Have you seen where Tom Watson is Even Par thru 8 holes today at the Masters.  That man amazes me with his ability at such an advanced age.  Wow!

Imagine what I was thinking when they told me to run through there with a ditchwitch. We were adding in some lighting and I just couldn’t believe they were willing to destroy that beautiful landscape

Greg Poole  As it should be, I have been following golf for over 40 years and the Masters is the only major that is played at the same course every year…because it’s hands down the most beautiful course in the world. They got it right!

  4. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG Kirby and his folks are creating the vibe or, at the very least, enhancing it. They know what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and are doing it extremely well.

Greg Poole BenKellam Reading the comments coming from the recruits visiting UGA these days is down right Dawg Porn.  It is really hard to temper my enthusiasm when I read all these comments from parents, coaches and kids!  There’s a definitely a new vibe surrounding the Dawgs, now it’s Kirby’s job to keep that going both on and off the field!

I might try and work the Masters next year. I’ve done work out there before and it’s a beautiful place

One of the key frames to look for in a high level swing. My 17 old student compared to some of the best MLB hitters. Remember, the 17 year old is an amateur. All four of these swings resulted in hard hit balls. None of these are check swings. All four have maintained pressure at the back foot. They are effectively leveraging the Earth to maximize their lower body…it’s basic ground reaction force physics 101. Ted Williams said in his book “The Science of Hitting” that he built a berm behind his foot when he stepped into the batters box. Now we know why:)

DawgDaddy MMCSDAWG GREAT!  We got rained out last weekend, going to give it another try Sat morning @715!

Man it really seems like were having a ton more recruits coming through than we used to.  I’m liking it.

You’re right. Hope Chaney will be a good OC. He has had some good seasons as a play caller

Bulldawg36 I hope the FIRE get’s lit in Sanford on October 1st when the hillbillies come to town!

Two hitters at heel plant…this is the frame where the front foot is being weighted. Two totally different positions. UGA hitter on left has started his hands towards the ball and his back knee has turned down and in, meaning he has released the pressure at his back foot…the back foot is no longer leveraging the ground. At this point in the swing this is a huge power leak. Hitter on left…my 17 year old…has hands back and has maintained pressure at the back foot against the ground later into the swing. Zero power leak.

  13. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36  I do not think that is important. Those folks are gone. I expect Chaney to make the offense fit the talent.

ZippyMorocco haws1178 I was the engineering shipyard liaison for one of my commands while we were in the shipyards in Philadelphia.  I’ve got some good union stories as well.  Those Philly boys are a Tough crowd!

High level baseball swing…two plane swing…barrel path is one seamless motion with a change in direction within the one motion…barrel is being thrown towards the ball instead of being dragged to the ball…tremendous late whip where the ball looks like it will get by the hitter, but instead the barrel suddenly whips into contact. Hips lead the hands creating lots of upper to lower body separation.

Greg Poole Bulldawg36 BINGO!  I don’t believe we are lacking for talent either, I believe our WR coaching and scheme’s have been lacking as much as anything!  I liked seeing our WR’s running crossing/rub type routes during some of the practice videos I’ve been able to view. I have always wondered why we never seemed to have those types of routes in our route trees.  Especially against man to man coverage.  You can’t simply rely on your WR to create the necessary separation all the time, it’s not going to happen.  Create mismatches with our abundance of TE’s.  Anyway, I expect to see our receivers and our passing offense take on a new identity under Chaney and Coley.

  17. Bulldawg36

True. But we really don’t know how good of a WR coach BMAC is. But we do know he is a good running backs coach

  18. dsw61

Bulldawg36 Big series coming up for the baseball team against Texas A&M. Texas A&M was suppose to have some good pitching, but the one pitcher listed in “Baseball America’s” Top 100 was kicked off the team, so I guess we’ll see. I expect Georgia will be competitive in whatever game Robert Tyler pitches in.

  19. Bulldawg36

I like it too. Makes the WR’s held accountable for dropped passes. We are just an unproven football team going into the 2016 season. Just hope we can beat SC and FLA! I hate those two teams even exsist!!!!!!!!

  20. dsw61

Bulldawg36 I like the way Chaney is keeping stats on the receivers and how both he and CKS are relying on the number of targets to catches to partly determine who will play. Some of the receivers are grumbling about it, but IMO it makes a lot of sense to have receivers on the field who don’t need the QBs to be perfectly accurate to make a catch.

Bulldawg Bob2 DawgDaddy deal, looking for good report on Mrs BB2.  Not much wind here in Milledgeville.

  22. Bulldawg Bob2

BenKellam Bulldawg36 He has had his good moments as well as his bad moments, aye.

And yes. I do too. Georgia could really use a Reggie Davis who finally puts it all together. Would really like for him to have a solid senior season.

  23. Bulldawg Bob2

DawgDaddy It’s going. After I take Mrs. BB2 for a check-up, I’m eyeing the job of picking up the limbs scattered all over the yard lol

  24. BenKellam

Bulldawg Bob2 BenKellam Bulldawg36 But I’m not sure I really like what Reggie Davis has proven so far in his career. Lots of careless mistakes. Hopefully Coley can help him out.
