G-DAY GAME IS IN:
Our dline is great. Not going to complain about our amazing talent and great coaching in the trenches.
Jesse1 Bulldawg36 I have a hard time Hating clemson–now florida I can seriously dislike year round — I won’t say anymore
There a lot there but I think I agree with it.
RumRunnerDoogie 1mandawgpack rugbydawg79 DawgByte Rum, you’ve obviously never seen the infield at the Kentucky Derby. The TV coverage is always of millionaire’s row where everyone is dressed to impress, but the infield is a zoo. We went to the Derby one year (had tickets to millionaire’s row – wife’s family owns horses that participate in the race) and met my brother and a couple of his buddies in the infield and it was nuts. But yes, I hear the HK tournament is as you describe.

In Richt’s tenure, I think we got beat before the season. We were consistently 4-5th in the SEC in recruiting and often ended up finishing 3rd-5th in the SEC in the standings. I don’t believe this is a fluke. We also had roster management issues as everyone is aware.
I’d say Richt is a B+/A- gameday coach and with Pruitt I am assuming ran a pretty tight and organized ship, but when you play 4-5 teams as talented or more talented than you a year, you are going to lose at least 1-2 of those games.
Look at Clemson last year: they played one team with as much talent as them and won. They parlayed that to a national championship birth, but I would say the odds of consistently beating more talented teams is low even for great coaches, and we were often less talented than upper echelon SEC teams.
In my mind Saban is a B+/A- gameday coach as well, but when you are bigger, faster, stronger at every position it shows. I’d argue Bama didn’t play a team all year with similar level of talent (OSU is probably the only team that has recruited as consistently over last 4 years, LSU usually is in the ballpark, but with last year was not vintage LSU).
I have no idea whether the culture has changed or not, but I would say the main failure of Richt was probably not football culture but a too relaxed recruiting culture.
check this article out: it explains why we consistently lose to UF and split with UTk. The only outlier I see is Spurrier, but he has always been a top 3 XO coach. I’d pretty much take him over anyone not named Urban Meyer (and that’s probably a draw) when it comes to gameday coaching.

we need to recruit in top 3-5 nationally and top 1-3 in SEC to play with the big boys, not the top 5-10 nationally and top 3-5 in SEC.
We will see once the season begins
PTCDawg The way they played, it’s a possibility
willypmd Bulldawg36 Was wondering the same thing. All them buoys had offers from some great schools. Could be Sam knows which buttons to press. And most important, when.
Bulldawg36 Good. Cause I can assure you they hate us. Even though we don’t get to make rugs outta them like we are used to. In 3 of the last 5, Dawgs have put the big hurt on em, 48-14, 30-0, 45 (really 52)-21. Yup they hate us. I love it when fans hate us, cause it usually means they have a sad history with us. Fwiw : The Gumps don’t hate us anymore. They see us as the baby brother who can land a big punch, but ain’t right in the head to follow up. They say we celebrate too early.Like to see both of those perceptions of UGA football change.
Bulldawg36 maybe it says more about Pittman and our OL?
Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie Dabo apparently is happy.

Bernhard Langer is rolling back the years folks. If it’s close going into tomorrow, could see history made..
Bulldawg36 I don’t think it is just coach speak but it is a long way to September.
Just concerned that he challenged em Thursday after the offense dominated them and they really didn’t respond today. Maybe it’s just coach speak
Bulldawg36 Lost several good players, but remember, it’s spring. Don’t expect CKS to be handing out a lot of attaboys
Looks like this maybe a rebuilding year on the DL. Need a new leader to step up on the DL. Plus we do have a new DC
I’m starting up[loads to the YouTube channel now. If you subscribe you will be notified of new vids.

OEF N OIF VETERAN nope
We’re any stats or anything given today
Hate Clemson !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RumRunnerDoogie Yep. I’d call that crowd disappointing.
Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie i mean if UGA went to a NC im sure the stands would be packed too the following spring. especially with a front runner for the heisman returning
RumRunnerDoogie There could have been writer behind him as he took the photo, but, yes, I agree.
Greg Poole u would think after being in the NC and returning watson would get more coverage than that
Clemson’s press row (it is one row) – from Patrick Garbin who is covering their spring game today

1mandawgpack Any question that involves a comparision is going to get a misleading (because players are not skilled with interviews) answer.
Bulldawg36 11:45
While waiting for CKS thought I’d comment on the culture change comment below.
Those comments are from players who have been told not to say anything that compares Richt and Smart.
The culture change is substantial. I can not over emphasize that point.
The UF spring game is now playing on the All Bama All The Time Network.
Sheer lack of preparation…yes, I’m sure they just all went to the beach the week before those games….
What time was practice?
Go bulldawgs baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rugbydawg79 ZippyMorocco Reddawg13 Whoa, when Johnson Ferry was dirt? dang rugby did you sit behind Moses in grade school?….j/k
Morning Zippy!
Spirited practice today – great weather for it.
1mandawgpack rugbydawg79 DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie its the kentucky derby but not as formal what so ever. look at any highlight videos u will see just about every costume u can think of, and 7s is easy to watch since the US is actually really good at it (unlike 15s)
rugbydawg79 DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie I lived in London for 4 years and started following rugby some while I was there. Unfortunately, the Brits were awful during my time there (were awful in the international scene and never finished anywhere close to the top of the 6 nations tournament), but got to see South Africa and New Zealand (as well as several of the other top teams in the world) play, which was a true treat.
I had to travel to Hong Kong several times per year and a colleague of mine who lived there talked about the Rugby7 tournament there and how he had never attended anything like it in the US. I had hoped to make it to the tournament one year, but never did before I repatriated back to the US. However, if you’re a rugby7s fan, I hear the HK tournament is the Kentucky derby equivalent and unlike any other experience in the world, so you should definitely go one year. In addition to a great tournament, HK is an incredible city where you can experience virtually anything.
