AlphaDawg my golf buddy who is an aubie still talks about how they gave us last year’s game and how great they will be because they have a QB now.  He doesn’t see the other holes in their team.  Fine with me as I love kicking their butts.

  2. DawgDaddy

PatriotVeteran MMCSDAWG am guessing D Brown did not want to face the competition from TT, JL, JR and company for playing time. Then too he may have seen that CKS was going to make him work much harder than the BagMan

  3. Jesse1

Greg Poole Oklahoma, along with UGA will have a bulls eye on their back for another generation. Truth is we ought to get along, and play. They signed on with us to end the television monopoly programming conspiracy. Time was when other than Bama-Tenn, and occasionally UGA-UF, Barn, or Bugs, LSU-Bama, were all the Southern games you might see. And only two out of that combo per year.

  4. PatriotVeteran

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole BenKellam    But their team sucks and if they don’t get drafted, they lose money by going to the Barn and City of Problems.    These current Recruits will not be playing for Gus the Cuss, he’s going to be GONE.        D.Brown made the biggest mistake of his life and he deserves it.

  5. Jesse1

Greg Poole Was does California have earthquakes and Canada have independence? California had 1st choice.

  6. Jesse1

CLTDawg Greg Poole PTCDawg A$M better hope to their bottom dollar they are better on defense.

  7. Jesse1

Greg Poole My hatchet is razor sharp. And my aim is true! Send em to me and we’ll have yard bird deluxe for a few days.

  8. CLTDawg

Greg Poole PTCDawg Auburn’s schedule is murderous this year. Clemson, A&M (who will be better offensively), and LSU in the first four weeks. At Ole Miss, At UGA, and At Bama in the last five weeks.

  9. Greg Poole

PTCDawg  Lose to UGA and Bama and he is in trouble – throw in getting embarrassed by Clemson and he gone.

CLTDawg IYH_BI I have to disagree with the comments on Carlos.  This is a huge decision for a 17/18 year old to make and it can make an impact down the road on $$ when getting drafted.  I think Carlos is trying to help.  Does that mean Carlos knows everything about recruiting and positioning for the NFL?  No, of course not.  But, he has taken care of Drob since he was young, he does care about him, and he is trying to make sure coaches don’t slick con Drob on a sales pitch that is not real and we all know many programs try to do this.  While we think our pitch is not sleazy and inaccurate because we are dawg fans and I believe this is true, I also don’t think the pitch at Stanford, ND or Alabama is sleazy (now Auburn, Ole Miss, Tenn, etc. is a different story).

Bottom line, if Carlos and Drob are taking extra time to be sure and Carlos is continuing to be an active mentor as he has been for years, good for him.  He would not be considering Georgia if Carlos was an agent and $$ were involved.

  11. PTCDawg

Interested in opinions on if you think there is a minimum number of wins that Gus and Les must have to keep their jobs?

  12. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG BahitsDawg I have chatted with him many times and like him. That said, he often comes across as a big kid. I never got the idea that he is anywhere near as serious as he is talented.
If he develops a mean streak or just gets really serious, he will be first team All-America

  13. BahitsDawg

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Replay should be a LOT faster than it is.  We, the announcers, and the world know 100% of the penalties good/bad before the huddle gets broken for the next play.

    I would use them to

1). handle all personal fouls with the exception of verbal death threats to field judges (ok, that can be mic’ed, so that too)  I would let the field judges asked the booth for judgment but would also like to see them instantiate personal foul calls the field judges don’t see.  Safety and fairness.  I hate the second guy gets the call nonsense.  Get the instigator.

2). handle the blocking past the line calls on RPO plays.

3). penalized officials that are screw ups – Penn Wagers

    4). probably something I am missing…

  14. MMCSDAWG

BahitsDawg Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Let’s hope he understands that and shows us 1st round talent next year.  if he does, our defense will be pretty good!

  15. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Not sure I am on board with this one…  Depends on how deep they are looking at each play.  There is a penalty committed on every single play from scrimmage if you look closely enough.  There is contact beyond 5 yards, there is holding, offensive and defensive, etc, etc.  I understand some basic bang, bang plays, but I am old school and I don’t want the average game time to keep increasing as we try to “perfect” the calls on the field.  It’s not a perfect game and never will be…

  16. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG difference between 1st round, 2nd, 3rd… undrafted in $$$ is huge.

  17. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG He will be playing for a paycheck (contract may be a better word) this year.

  18. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole We all know what Chubb will do if healthy, we have seen what Blaz is capable of, the one on the list that will have the most impact on our season success, is L. Carter!  It’s time for him to step up his game and become that dominating pass rusher and outside run stopper we need!  Let’s go L. Carter, time to GATA and #ATD!

  19. CLTDawg

IYH_BI CLTDawg Agreed. I have had no problem with their timeline. It’s a big decision, and he’s trying to raise his test scores. Good for him.

It’s the brother’s behavior the whole time that has been concerning. Everything comes off as him acting as a “handler” or agent rather than as the kid’s brother or guardian.

I will be happy as can be if DRob comes to the good guys. His speed will be a weapon. I just hope that his recruitment won’t be an indication of the way his family will behave when he’s a Georgia Student Athlete. It only hurts him in the long run.

  20. Colonial Dawg

Brooklyndawg Colonial Dawg Bulldawg36  I was just picking with that comment.  Hopefully it didn’t offend.   Sorry if it did.

  21. IYH_BI

CLTDawg IYH_BI I won’t even pretend to know what their relationship is like but from the outside looking in it seems like Carlos is looking out for his interests as much as he is Demetris’…that’s a dangerous situation.

  22. CLTDawg

IYH_BI Man I really hope DRob’s de-recruitment process involves a heavy dose of separating him from Carlos’s meddling. Having that as a distraction could be toxic for his development in college.

  23. MMCSDAWG

IYH_BI Would have only been better if he did it before or during “G” day!  Thanks for the info Huck!  Keep up the good work on your articles and they are much appreciated!

  24. IYH_BI

Just got this nugget in a text from someone I trust when it comes to recruits in southeast/coastal Georgia – “DRob to commits to Georgia end of next week as long as Carlos doesn’t screw things up.  DRob’s heart is in Athens”

This guy has been correct on 75-80% on what he has told me so take it for what it is worth…
