haws1178  They are bringing in PWOs because they are offer the potential for immediate help without using a ‘ship that can be used for a highly rated player next season..

  2. BahitsDawg

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole You also need to know which QB can’t take a hit and get up and then hit a 20 yard completion.

Getting hit rattles some more than others.  Some guys thrive on it.  Others shrink.

  3. haws1178

Will this trend continue? Will we keep bringing in PWO lineman or will we fill the spots with scholarship players

Good afternoon guys! Who else is pumped about G day? Anyone meeting up to tailgate or anything

  5. dsw61

AlphaDawg Yep, I heard the interview and noted him saying that. Kirby and Chaney like QBs who can make plays with their legs when the opportunity presents itself. Ramsey is going to have to retrain himself to use his legs when the play breaks down, instead chucking the ball out of bounds…or getting sacked while telling himself to trust his protection:)

  6. MMCSDAWG

Jesse1 RumRunnerDoogie I was there for many of those games at  Fulton county stadium!  Buy general admission seats and sit behind the dug outs…

  7. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG I know…  But for me, it’s hard to judge the effectiveness of the QB when they are being protected like they are in this type of scrimmage.  It’s easy to stand in the pocket and face down the pressure while making your reads when you know they aren’t going to hit your butt.

RumRunnerDoogie Jesse1 The “Trainwreck at Turner Field” is reminds me of the good old Dave Bristol days. Except Freddi doesn’t get tossed enough. This could be one of those mid 70’s -late 80’s when a Braves win was an iconic moment.

  9. dsw61

Jesse1 Greg Poole dsw61 You know what’s funny. I grew up in New Hampshire…what southerners call “The North”. I don’t see a lot of difference between what I did as a kid growing up in the country and what country southern kids do growing up. Hunting, fishing…and shooting BB guns at street signs and the like. My best friend in HS got arrested for doing donuts with his car in a school ground play area. New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont have vast rural areas and hunting and gun ownership is very big.

@Greg Poole…..that’s great top…looking forward to listening….I want to see all the qb’s work with the first team offense but especially Eason….this will give us idea of how far he has progressed…

  11. RumRunnerDoogie

Jesse1 well at least a team from Ga will finally win a game in turner field this year

  12. MMCSDAWG

Jesse1 Bulldawg Bob2 BahitsDawg AlphaDawg Yes they did…  My Grandpa and Grand mother lived between Jefferson and Nicholson.  Good hunting up in Jackson county!

  13. MMCSDAWG

AlphaDawg Bulldawg Bob2 I want to see the QB’s in full contact jersey’s and playing the game like it means something.  There were times last year the QB would have been sacked, but the pass was still completed.  We have 3 QB’s fighting for the job, let them fight and keep it REAL!

  14. Jesse1

Bulldawg Bob2 BahitsDawg AlphaDawg Back in the 70’s seeing pick up trucks on Broad St in Athens with a full loaded gun rack was a common site. Especially since Jackson County used to have some fat deer.

  15. MMCSDAWG

BahitsDawg MMCSDAWG Bulldawg Bob2 AlphaDawg Yeah, I went back home and actually commuted to Ga. State for one semester and that was it, so I decided it was time to get out of town and joined the Navy…  never thinking I would spend 22 years in, but I’m really glad I did!  Especially now that I’m in my 10th year of receiving a retirement check from uncle sam!

We definitely had hunting rifles and guns all over the place when I was at Southern.  Me and my roommates would probably have fallen under some sort of terrorism statute in todays world.  We had quite a few guns between the 3 of us.

  16. Jesse1

BahitsDawg AlphaDawg Bulldawg Bob2 I saw enough of that last year. He had protection, though it will eventually break down. Ability to spread the ball around and not hone in on the primary target is the area Lambert needs, no, must show a quantum leap in improvement. Or he’s toast by Fall.

  17. dawgmum

Greg Poole dawgmum My aunt once gave my teenage brother a record album. It was a recording of the Indianapolis 500. Nothing more exciting than extended play of the sound of cars driving around a racetrack! She was known for her crappy gifts. We still exchange many of them as jokes each Christmas.

She never did give him footie pj’s though, so I guess there’s that.

  18. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Yes, especially Stupid ones…  I have yet to see an arrest at UGA since the J. Taylor crime that would meet the criteria for a call to N. Saban…  all of these incidents including the wacky weed, would have been handled by one of his “QA/QC” staff…  This is something that kirby will have to adjust to.

  19. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg Bulldawg Bob2 I want to see Lambert under game time pressure and with a serious rush in his face.

  20. Greg Poole

dawgmum LOL – I used to hate the gift my old maid aunt gave – socks and stuff like that.

  21. BahitsDawg

MMCSDAWG BahitsDawg Bulldawg Bob2 AlphaDawg Nevermind.  I just checked your profile and remembered you went navy.  My roommate went forestry.

Probably 90% of Southern were hunters in those days.  Sort of like ABAC still is today.   My oldest thinks Tifton is heaven on earth.  smh

  22. Jesse1

Greg Poole Maybe the Stanford coach is wrong. And us simple folk are past making a mountain out of a mole hill.

  23. Jesse1

Greg Poole Another sidebar regarding the law of unintended consequences of too many well intentioned laws post Columbine run amuck. Even if the officer wanted to give them a break, with the camera rolling, and a live feed going back to some mainframe somewhere, that isn’t an option. Time was when officers were inclined to give a kid a break. Follow you home and remind you to stay out of trouble. He/She can’t do that these days. Otherwise the officers would be engaging in obstruction of justice.

  24. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg Greg Poole BahitsDawg MidtownTeacher lol!  That is great!

I shot the base of a huge oak tree from about 5 feet and had the BB come back and hit me hard about a half inch from my eye.  That was enlightening.   I am much more careful now.

  25. Bulldawg Bob2

Kirby Smart stated on 680 the Fan that we will definitely see Jacob Eason play on G-Day

  26. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg Bob2 AlphaDawg The leaks are few and far between.  Security seems greater than even Richt’s Iron Wall.
