MMCSDAWG PTCDawg Absolutely. Taking the redshirt, getting stronger, getting ahead in the classroom. And feasting on vittles from the Ritz-Carlton Dining Room of collegiate dining tables can’t hurt either. Even guys who go elsewhere swear by our sous chefs.

  2. MMCSDAWG

PTCDawg From all accounts I’ve been able to read/hear, he’s pretty much operating at 2nd team RT right now and that is actually not a bad thing.  It’s been said by many around here before especially our fearless leader, you really can’t count on offensive lineman cracking the rotation for about 2 years.  He’s on schedule accordingly.  It will be good to see them on the field come Sat.  i will tape the game and the first thing I will do is go back and watch the OL in slow motion and in more detail.

  3. ronaldo77

Is Sheldon Dawson still going to UGA or trying to get back on the team? he is always making instagram posts of him back from the uga days and saying stuff like “still trying to grind back”

  4. PTCDawg

Any word on how Pat Allen is doing? I hear very little about him, which can’t be a good thing.

@ Greg Poole Jesse1… My point exactly…if you are going to do something stupid, now is the time to do it while your absence from a game will have little or no impact….

Jesse1 BenKellam Greg Poole Bansai buckeroo Several of our walk-ons qualify for the Hope and or Zell Miller scholarship.

  7. Jesse1

Greg Poole Bansai buckeroo And besides, as good as he is, a salty 4th or 5th year offensive lineman is going to take him to school for the first half of the season at minimum.

  8. Greg Poole

Bansai buckeroo  Right now, JR does not appear to be in good enough shape to help much – not to mention of the other things that Rocker is constantly yelling at him about.

  9. Bulldawg36

Manziel is not an NFL qb. He was good in college but the game is faster and they have guys that can track him down- pretty easy to run down a hi Qb! Lol

  10. Jesse1

AlphaDawg Greg Poole I’ve thought about buying a bird. Maybe, just maybe I might fine some use for the AJC.

  11. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole whaaa whaa so sick of these babies still complaining. AJC is driving me nuts

  12. Jesse1

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG Maybe he knows all he needs to about Lambert. After all, his defense made me nostalgic for Hutson. As Lou Holtz said, if Lambert was all that, he would have been the starting QB in Charlottesville.

  13. Jesse1

Greg Poole Bulldawg36 The headers on those two are dominating the front sports page of everything from ABC to Reuters. And every 2 minutes on the bottom of the tv screen. It’s torture. Solution? Just hang out at BI. Problem solved.

1mandawgpack Score Check Apparently those Red Solo cups took a whupping. Justice must be served.

  15. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36  There is a really easy way to avoid seeing them. You are not actually require to click links concerning them.

Score Check  I don’t have any issue with them holding these young men accountable for any damage that they caused to the dorm as they should know better than shooting a BB gun indoors (it just makes no sense).  I also somewhat understand that the PD has a job to do and likely responded to a call by someone reporting the inappropriate behavior.  What I absolutely hate, and know that there is nothing that can be done about it, is the inconsistency in upholding rules/laws.  When Gurley received a 4 game suspension for autograph-gate, Jamest Winston had more autographed merchandise available for sale on websites than Gurley did, with no response.  Winston also was caught shooting squirrels on FSU’s campus with a BB gun (in what might be viewed as an “active shooter” episode since he was in public with a gun), again with little to no response (no felony arrest, no Fulmer Cup ramifications, etc.).  But, this juvenile stunt by two very immature 18 – 20 year old young men who are living away from home for the first times in their lives in which they posed no harm to anyone but themselves will result in UGA retaining the reputation of being a program that is out of control from a behavioral standpoint (a reputation that we’ve helped create for ourselves given the stringent manner in which the rules are applied in Athens).  From everything I’ve seen/read, both of these young men are from good families and anything that the school/athletic program will do to them from a punishment perspective will likely pale in comparison to the what they’ll receive from their families.  I suspect that the charges will be downgraded, but who knows in dealing with situations in Athens as I had the same thoughts about equally trivial matters that happened to our players.

dsw61 MMCSDAWG There is a report, unconfirmed, that Eason had a long TD run in Saturday’s scrimmage also.

  18. Bansai buckeroo

@score check…being true freshmen not sure if being held out of a game is a big deal..

  19. Bulldawg36

I’m so sick of seeing Johnny Manziel and Josh Gordon. The NFL should say good bye to them forever, because it’s obvious their priorities are partying did other things! TMZ should just stop interviewing him

  20. dsw61

MMCSDAWG I listened to the Kirby segment on 680. Ramsey has always been very athletic. CMR was okay with the QBs running as a last resort, but he placed so much emphasis on standing in the pocket, trusting the protection, and throwing it out of bounds if nothing was open; that the QBs got coached out of running. Imagine if Park was still at UGA. Pretty sure Chaney would love working with him. Chaney is going to have to break down the mental wall against running that the QBs have built up under CMR. I expect the QBs to look more comfortable because they will be allowed to make plays with their legs, which should translate to better decision making when throwing.

  21. Jesse1

MMCSDAWG Jesse1 RumRunnerDoogie Sometimes club level. In the late 80’s there would be more folks at a Westside-Evans baseball game than some mid week crash and burns at Braves Stadium. Never got around to acknowledging the doughnut as AFCS.

  22. Greg Poole

Score Check  Not sure if I am wise anf I know I’m unconventional but, yes, the felony charges will not be pursued.

  23. Jesse1

Score Check Unless they were shooting at windows or living creatures nothing should happen. A verbal warning will suffice.

  24. ronaldo77

Score Check I would like to think it would be one game at the most. These charges should be reduced. It is a gross overreaction by the PD

  25. Score Check

So what is the conventional wisdom on BB Gate?
Will the charges be reduced?  If so are they likely to be held out of any games?

  26. Jesse1

Greg Poole Bansai buckeroo Not trying to be a wiseguy but it using the zip code theory, it makes perfect sense to grow a strong walkon program.

  27. Bulldawg Bob2

Bingo and good point. We talked about that on the podcast. Murray was wondering if the scampers were “legit” runs or not.

  28. Jesse1

Greg Poole haws1178 We have had some great walkons. And as you wrote above, it frees ‘ships. Nebraska built their dynasty with walkons being  major contributors all over the field. Hone in on several affluent kids who flat out love the school and reap the benefit.

  29. dsw61

Rickpope2330 When you say “pumped” today…I think of air rifles…pellet and BB guns…that you “pump” in order to shoot:)

  30. Jesse1

MMCSDAWG Ran the Wing-T in high school. So yeah, Ramsey can run. Had Jeff Herron allowed him to toss the rock more than 3-5 times per game, who knows? Back in 2014 during G-Day broadcast, Arron Murray was in the booth, and mentioned he had averaged 30-35 passes per game. Even said he had tried to convince Ramsey to transfer to a different school, where he would get the reps, and so forth.

  31. Bulldawg36

Might have to move Lamont Gailard back and Put Kenyon brown in..give him some playing time!!!! Put Johnny O Neal in at DE
