OT: For any west coast dawgs out there or anyone else…. I will be headed to San Fran on Saturday for 2 weeks. I am looking for restaurant recommendations. Staying in the Pacific Heights area close to the Presidio……

  2. MMCSDAWG

RumRunnerDoogie Bulldawg36 Bama really wanted him for a good reason!  kid has speed as well as ball skills!

  3. MMCSDAWG

DawgByte Brooklyndawg Greg Poole MMCSDAWG I’m not drinking koolaid and I agree with both you and Brookly about being cautious in any optimism.  My analysis of the UNC game is based on statistics and performance on the field.  Any team that can give up the kind of yardage they did last year on the ground is going to have a Really hard time stopping an SEC team who has finished in the top three in rushing for the last 5-6 seasons.   The ability of UGA to run the ball against UNC will dictate time of possession, field position and most importantly the ability to open up the field as the game progresses.  I believe this will force UNC in to trying to play catch up and hurry up, Now will our defense be able to stop them?  I have my concerns in the area as well, but I just believe based on looking at their stats from last year combined with ours, we stand a pretty darn good chance of beating them!  There weaknesses play well into our strengths both offensively and defensively!

Now, pass me another jar of that Dawg Shine!!! ###

  4. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 didnt even know simmons was fast, thought his 40 time on 247 was like a 4.6…guess those arent always right

  5. RobDawg

Yes I bet we will see a social media video in coming months. They will have to prove to themselves is my guess

  6. Bulldawg36

i would like to see these guys race!!! Simmons..hardman and Reggie Davis and mcgenzie!!! Call me crazy but my money would be on Simmons!!!!!

  7. DawgByte

Brooklyndawg DawgByte Greg Poole I agreed with you on the Kool-Aid drinking. Just can’t do it any more. Much safer and more meaning to turn the hype into on field action and converting that into W’s.

Having said the above, I’m very excited about this coaching staff and our new head man. Kirby has been extremely impressive thus far in his leadership skills.

  8. Brooklyndawg

RobDawg Nah, I’m done. Some people just have to go and try something, happens all the time. Just a Monday anything anti-negativity trolling.

  9. Brooklyndawg

DawgByte Greg Poole Kind of what I alluded to below (but you summed it up much better), which was taken exception to, for some reason. Probably pee in his cheerios, seemed like.

  10. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg36 Just kidding with you, guy!## Neither of us will ever pass Chinese style stir-fried frog past our lips.

  11. DawgByte

Bulldawg36 Working like a Dawg, but when the 5 O’Clock whistle blows I’ll be on vacation for the rest of the week. Heading to Viva Las Vegas, baby!!!

  12. Brooklyndawg

PTCDawg Are you some sort of self-appointed BI thought police, PTC? For your information, this site is still a courteous and family-friendly , AND freedom-of-expression site, and it if bothers you for me to say I’m not a Kool Aid drinker this early in the year, because I feel more pragmatic about the unprovens, that’s my right. You don’t like it, don’t read my posts! You think I’m being too negative and that’s some sort of blank check, that’s you who has an attitude problem and chip on his shoulder, not me. When the dawgs take the field and rough spots are sorted out, I’m cheering along with everyone else.

  13. DawgByte

Brooklyndawg Greg Poole MMCSDAWG I hear ya bro. I’m never drinking pre-season Kool-Aid again. Been burned too many times!!!

  14. DawgByte

Greg Poole Agree… huge assumption… just like those assumptions that Eason will start against UNC.

  15. DawgByte

Greg Poole I like our ranking and think it’s a good guess.

I was listening to Buck & Kincaide on my way home from work today and they wanted to see how many Georgia fans believe we should win the SEC East this year given the schedule, new coaching staff and existing talent. They used last years Florida team as justification for this expectation.

If I were so inclined to call into the show, I’d say I’m not buying that bandwagon. There’s just way too many important variables at play in 2016; including but not limited to, uncertainty across the OL, our QB situation, questions around Chubb’s return, our thin DL, ILB’s and major issues regarding the Special Team kickers.

  16. Bulldawg36

Because I don’t like anybody bad mouthing UGA by saying a worthless chicken team with no talent will upset us.

  17. PTCDawg

Brooklyndawg Greg Poole MMCSDAWG How does taking a negative view make one ‘pragmatic’? Its like using that word gives one a blank check to say anything negative they want and make it sound like they are just too darn wise to be optimistic.

  18. Bulldawg36

Well thanks ole buddy pal I think. ####. I was near Atlanta as well I was at Johns creek. You should of tried the stir fried frog. Lol

  19. Bulldawg36

Washington….Stanford and UCLA shouldn’t be ranked ahead of us!!!!! I’m mad as fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. Frankly

    Bulldawg36
But why would you get ticked off by predictions months before the actual games.  Its a total guessing game at this point.   And you know what they say opinions are comparable to….

  21. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole LOL!!!   I still see more than 100 days on that count down calendar up above…  No telling where this one falls out, but I would take the under on Washington as the Pac-12 champion!

  22. MMCSDAWG

Bansai buckeroo I like it!  We were his first offer and that means a lot to these kids now a days! Get him and Owen Pappoe (sp) and we are …….  in tall cotton!

  23. Brooklyndawg

MMCSDAWG Bansai buckeroo His family and his hopes and dreams were a problem for UGA, if you can call it that, but all of this BS is traceable to the stinking media and their insatiatioble need to regurgite and regurgitate the same crap, over and over again. This same interview has been on the internet for at least a week, and now Weiszer at OnlineAthens, the internet version of our rag of a newspaper, repeated it ad nauseum this morning.

  25. Brooklyndawg

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Meh, I’l wait to see who starts at QB, and who is effective behind our O-line. I will never be a kool aid drinker. I’m an older, very pragmatic person

  26. rugbydawg79

Bulldawg36 USA Rugby 7’s  he would be a great Rugby player- get a Gold Medal !

  27. DawgLink

The kid in the Dawgnation article from Upson Lee. Dang he’s gonna be a monster. 15 and 6’4″ and 246.

  28. MMCSDAWG

Bansai buckeroo I know…  if had chose UGA at the Hall of fame, I would have been ok with it.  But now, it is obvious to almost anyone concerned there is way too much drama and distraction surrounding him.  I hope he gets out to Cali and becomes his own man and does great things!  I don’t wish ill on Drob at all and i sincerely hope he is able to achieve “His” goals whatever they may be!

  29. DawgDaddy

Bansai buckeroo Did not make me mad Bb, with everything I have seen with this kid and his family there is major baggage with him.  Like MMCS said in his example, the kid is probably a good kid but man had he had some heavy family involvement and not in a good way either.

  30. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg36 Take my word for it, I never think of you except when I see you gesticulating on BI, but this weekend was different. My wife and I were in Atlanta and we ended up eating brunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant in Chamblee. They had posters all over the place hawking a new special, “Stir-fried frog with spicy black bean sauce” (uugghh, the thought make me want to puke). This is not a joke! It sounded like a Bulgarian-Pelzer new age fusion, with southern accents.
