    MMCSDAWG Someone who is never really talked about, but will play a big part this year is Marshell Long. For better or for worse, he will probably be our punter this year.

    Ok…  so who’s your Sleeper in the class of 2016?  Who is flying under the radar so to speak and that you believe will have the biggest impact during their time in Athens?

    Bansai buckeroo I hope I never have to experience it. Neither my Dad or Mom had heart issues. I eat very healthy, and my annual blood work for health insurance discount purposes, always comes back really good. I always have some chest discomfort though because I lift weights three times a week, and the muscles around my rib cage always ache some. Some times that ache gets my attention, but I’ve kind of learned to live with it.

    I get a new knee on Tuesday. The biggest problem is no Sumatran until the surgery is over.

    Greg Poole  Statements like this without context are misleading at best:
    “Last season, though, Tennessee led Alabama by a point with less than five minutes to go in Tuscaloosa before Jake Coker led a game-winning scoring drive. So the difference in Tennessee and Alabama isn’t monumental – not now.”

    I watched that game. Tennessee was coming off a bye week…which is what most teams try to do the week before playing Bama. Leading up to the Tennessee game, Bama had played seven straight games. The three games prior to Tennessee were against Georgia on the road, Arkansas, and A&M on the road. It was plain as day to me that Bama was tired in the Tennessee game. After the Tennessee game Bama had their bye week…and then played LSU. I watched that game also and they were clearly rested and it showed as they totally dominated LSU.

    This season both Tennessee and Bama will have played six straight games prior to their meeting. The three games prior to the Bama game has Tennessee playing Florida, Georgia on the road, and A&M on the road. Tennessee’s bye week this year comes after the Bama game. It wouldn’t surprise me if Pruitt’s Bama defense shuts down Tennessee’s offense this year. Georgia’s defense actually played well against Tennessee early on in last year’s game…but the dang offense couldn’t stay on field to give the defense a breather. Jenkins was also hurt that game and didn’t play much.

    Greg Poole I wonder where the author of this article gets his information. Fans who are excited about Kirby, the new coaching staff, and newcomers like Eason; are simply excited about the direction of the program. I seriously doubt a high percentage of fans are expecting much more than 9-3 or 10-2 season. Tennessee may actually be the more delusional fan base. It will be interesting how Tennessee handles the added pressure that comes with high expectations.

    Bansai buckeroo me and a little girl that I was friends with found a gun in the glove box of her Dad’s car and I shot a hole through the floor and into the transmission. Red was lucky that day too. Of course her mom and my mom, sh%&! themselves!

    @dsw61…had a heart attack in 2008. Had all the classic symptoms…believe me it’s something you want to try and avoid…haha

    Colonial Dawg DawgDaddy  I thought I might have been having a heart attack one time too. I was really dizzy and had some chest discomfort. Ended up at the ER where the first thing they do is blood work to test for a heart attack. When that came back negative it was off to the tread mill for the stress test. About 8 minutes into it after increasing the incline a couple of times the cardiologist asked me how I was feeling. Told it it was the best I’d felt all day. Don’t think she was thrilled with that answer, but it was the truth. Blood work eventually showed a raised white blood cell count and they determined I had an inner ear infection.

    Colonial Dawg DawgDaddy I’m pretty sure what they did to you would give me a heart attack!  My body would completely shut down and stop functioning!
