Greg Poole Glad for the kid but I thought it would have been the Ohio State transfer from the Atlanta Metro…

    Avon Barksdale  Ok, I’m back…

The DL and our front 7 overall is a concern for me.  I know we have some very talented young players currently on the roster and a few more coming in June.  Unfortunately, we don’t have a ton of game experience in our front 7, which included our LB’s.  Adding to this concern is the fact that Rivers will be out for a minimum of 3 more games, Rochester is looking at a couple of games as well.  Keeping that in mind,  We need DEPTH…  it concerns me that both hawkins and Barnett had to miss a large portion of the spring with MCL strains.  Are they going to be able to withstand the rigors of an SEC schedule for 12 games?  Yes, I agree it is much easier to crack the starting rotation as a DL vice an OL, but I will also say that we all saw what Big Trent did last year and he was at the very top of the food chain…  He did well, but he also missed some assignments and was injured during the season.  My point is this, We will be relying on true freshman and sophomores to man our 2 deep on the DL, what happens if one of our top 2 or 3 go down with injury?   T. Rocker is definitely going to earn his keep this year.  I will say that our LB’s do have the potential to be much better than in the past, I am very pleased with how the Linebacking corp is coming along and there does seem to be a little more depth there.  I was also pleased with the way J. Young played on Saturday, so that might alleviate a little depth problem, but it’s still there and we are only an injury or 2 away from being in serious trouble, IMO.  I hope I’m wrong and I hope our defense is able to stop the run effectively against our SEC competition without having to drop 8-9 in the box!  It just concerns me!

Anyone know where I can get one of those metal Georgia G emblems for my car? I want to replace the GT emblem on the back of my car with one. Its gotta be like 5 inches wide to cover the holes from the stock emblem. The biggest I can find is like 3.5 inches wide.

Greg Poole Bulldawg36 I’m glad swann made a team but couldn’t it have been literally any other one?

I don’t normally run with a small portion of a staement but Kirby states “I hope he gets to do what he wants to do.” On the new dawgnation article,. I feel like it’s a longer JHC (Josh Harvey) recruitment all over again.

Hawkins…Atkins and Thompson will be good to great players for us this year. We will see about the rest. Rocker will definitely earn his money this year

BahitsDawg Bulldawg Bob2 WillieWalden I thought Hardman and Drob looked very different retuning kicks in the Army AS game. Not saying one was better than the other, just different. Drob looked smoother…like he was gliding. Drob definitely caught my attention.

Avon Barksdale  All of those question will have wait and see answers, but DL is much easier to step into  as a youngster than OL.

    BTW loved The Wire

I have a Samsung droid. I was using it yesterday morning, and new posts aren’t shown at the bottom.

I’m not as concerned as some about the D line, except for the 1st game with the suspensions.

  11. MMCSDAWG

Avon Barksdale I am about to head out for lunch, but will expound more later…  Like i said Yesterday though, DL is my biggest concern for 2016.  You hit on almost all of my concerns as well.  We have seen what has happened the last couple of years when we have played against a good power running team.

  12. Avon Barksdale

What is everyone’s feeling about the D-Line. We’re so young! In 2017 we should be dominant but what are your expectations for this year?
Is Trent ready to take that next step? Is he All-SEC this year? How about Barnett and Hawkins? How good will they be? Ledbetter. Young. Who steps up? Which freshmen step up and give us quality depth? Who’s the leader on the line?
Are Bellamy and LoCarter ready to step up? Is either of them All-SEC caliber? Gonna miss Jenkins and Floyd but I gotta admit our pass rush was a bit of a disappointment last year. D’Andre Walker looked like a beast on G-Day! Is he big enough to be a 3-down player for us? Is Chauncey Manac going to contribute? What do you guys think?
I feel if our D-Line plays well our defense could be very very good!

  13. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Gotcha boss…  It definitely doesn’t crash or lag, but it’s hard for an old man to keep up! lol.  Thanks

  14. Avon Barksdale

I think of Mecole as Brandon Boykin Jr. Let him play corner, special teams, and maybe a couple touches on offense. Can’t wait to see what he can do!

  15. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG  Don’t think are on the mobile version. That is part of keeping it lightweight. The trade-off is fewer feature or crash phones and tabs? LF opts for usability since, by far, most website posts do not get over 200 comments per hour.

The reason that BD36 hate vaping is because it reminds him of his days on stage with his band.
