BenKellam What’s going to happen to Bama? Can’t just fire a guy and say we’ve cleaned up the program, you can’t punish us now.

  2. BenKellam

Ooooohhh boy. This is a perfect chance for the NCAA to take its man card back. I hope they throw the book at ole mi$$. I felt bad for the guy…sorta but honestly his corner should have never let him get out on that stage after his account “hacks.” Btw, that word is thrown around way too loosely these days. I would put it at like an 95% chance that it was his step dad that put that stuff on his social media. And he must have been planning this for a while to have saved all those texts between Tunsil and coach.

  3. AlphaDawg

Bulldawg36 nah man you should be happy that Kirby is staying on top of who’s in his state. He’s aware and he’s letting his presence be known.

  4. DawgByte

Bulldawg36 I agree with you. I’m happy for Floyd and his family for being drafted so high. I honestly didn’t see that coming. Makes the G look good putting two top 10 picks back-to-back in the draft.

  5. Bulldawg36

Oh ok I see now.. Wish Kirby wouldn’t of accepted- Michigan should camp with Tech instead.

  6. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36  CKS was invited and accepted – there is no ‘have to’, Smart could have declined.

  7. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36  Better start looking for tickets. The cutoff for season ticket holders was pretty high.

  8. Greg Poole

DawgByte I understand. Certainly NCAA has little leadership. However, it is a business organization run by educators (bureaucrats). I think one qualification for NCAA president should be having spent time as a CEO.

  9. Bulldawg36

The comment was supposed to be with the tweet of UGA having to camp with Michigan. Why do we have to camp with them for?

  10. Bansai buckeroo

Good Morning Folks and congratulations to Mr Floyd in being the first SEC player taken in the draft…

  11. Bulldawg36

I hope we pound ole miss next season! I may make the long drive down there to Oxford! I hope Eason has about 400 yards passing!!! Pull the upset! Similar to richt pulling the upset over the vols in 2001.. Even though I don’t think this ole missy team will be as good as that 01 vol team

  12. DawgByte

Greg Poole DawgByte I was talking about leadership specifically within the NCAA and more broadly across the US.

  13. Greg Poole

DawgByte I get your comment but this change is more about the organization being inappropriate to manage the interests of such widely varying institutions.

The change was about the smaller institutions being frozen out of camps like Dawg Night. Schools like Georgia State, Mercer, West Georgia (etc.) used to be invited to Dawg Night but were prohibited after the vote.

It is probably better this way because it will diffuse the anti-SEC press (the ACC and Big 12 pretty much escaped any criticism).

  14. Bulldawg36

True. Also they must of felt sorry for Harbaugh. He must of called the ncaa president crying on the phone

  15. Bulltoad

DawgByte dsw61 Greg Poole I would hope that Tunsil was humbled last night by what happened and will grow from it.  He will probably be either great or a bust.  Personally I think he will be great like the honey badger turned out.

  16. DawgByte

Bulldawg36 A crisis in leadership. A common theme in this country as we’ve become totally wussified.

  17. Bulldawg36

Just wish somebody would of snitched on him a couple of years ago while it was still fresh.

  18. Bulldawg36

The NCAA is weak!!!!! They can’t even stick to their no Satellite camp ruling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. DawgByte

dsw61 Greg Poole That is precisely what I was thinking. Of all the teams to draft Tunsil Miami is probably the worst. He’s going to be down at South Beach living Lavida Loco!

  20. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole AlphaDawg Yes I’m hoping it pisses Harbaugh off enough that we make any coach trying to satellite camps down here miserable that they go to another state. It would be great to settle in this mentality that it’s UGA first, then you.
The fact that the coach invited Smart without caring what Harbaugh had to say about it is the best part.

  21. Greg Poole

I going to ask for creds to that camp. There should be some good photo opps, if nothing else — Smart and Harbaugh shirtless?

  22. Bulldawg36

I bet the ncaa won’t do much to ole miss. Probably if tunsil would of told the money story while he was still a player at ole miss then yeah they would of went after em..don’t know about now tho

  23. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg  That is the best thing about it. The camps don’t mean jack as far as UGA recruiting is concerned in-state. This alliance with Harbaugh might be helpful when recruiting the edges of civilization.

  24. AlphaDawg

Good to see our HS coaches getting UGA involved even when Harbaugh was originally scheduled. If we could get every HS coach to do this, this satellite thing won’t be that bad.

  25. AlphaDawg

“Once I found out the NCAA changed the rule, I called (Smart) and he said, ‘I’m down with coming,’” Smith said.
“Coach Harbaugh had told me from the beginning that it was my camp … so he didn’t care who else came. I didn’t know how to handle that, because it is my camp. But it is Coach Harbaugh.

“So I contacted him. I felt like it was out of respect that I let him know that I wanted Georgia to come to camp also. Coach Harbaugh said, ‘Yes, that’s fine. Let’s all work the camp, and let’s coach these kids up.’”

  26. Bulldawg36

Floyd is a certified G and an athletic stud!!!!!!! Good luck to the man. I really thought his first year at UGA was his best. But maybe the NFL will bulk him up some more so he can handle those big NFL Ol

  27. Greg Poole

Bulldawg Bob2 Really Smart move (pun intended). This simply kills any further negative mention of CKS in connection with the camps. He will be in a bizzllion photos with Harbaugh and will get some of the glow from CJH’s media darling status.

  28. Greg Poole

ZippyMorocco  There is no question that they gave up something to bring in those kids. The problem for them is that they seem to have given up some degree of control in addition to any other inducements.

  29. AlphaDawg

Bulldawg Bob2 AlphaDawg That’s a big blow to their DL. Maybe we can scoop up some recruits

  30. dsw61

Greg Poole I thought the whole Tunsil debacle last night was an embarrassment to Ole MIss, Hugh Freeze and the NCAA. It will be interesting to see how Tunsil handles his affinity for drugs down in Miami.

Did you wonder why laquon treadwell, from Illinois, signed with Ole Mi$$?
