Will Ignont, a 2017 prospect out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, was one of a number of visitors to UGA on Friday, and the inside linebacker had some good news for the Bulldogs, listing them at the top of his top 10.

Standing an imposing 6 foot 2 and 238 lbs, the linebacker out of Buckhorn High, Alabama transferred to IMG Academy for his senior season and is considered one of the top 5 inside linebackers in the country for the class of 2017.

Just how good was Ignont’s visit?

Inside linebacker is definitely one of the positions of need for the Georgia Bulldogs going into the 2016 season and especially looking ahead to the 2017. Will Ignont could make an immediate impact for Georgia at the position, and he would make a tandem of terror for the Dawgs in the middle if Georgia were able to sign both he and another highly rated prospect at linebacker, Nate McBride.

Ignont played heavily at tailback his sophomore season carrying the ball for 1,088 yards on 189 carries and 14 rushing touchdowns for Buckhorn before taking a bigger role on defense at linebacker last year as a junior, where he tallied 91 tackles. He’ll look to finish out his senior year on defense for the Ascenders at IMG.

So does Georgia have a chance of pulling another big time prospect out of IMG Academy and one who was originally thought to be a lock for one of the state of Alabama schools?
