UGA has named defensive lineman Michael Barnett, outside linebacker Walter Grant, and wide receiver Tyler Simmons team captains for today’s football game versus Arkansas State. The Bulldogs will kick off against the Red Wolves at 12 noon on Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium.

Michael Barnett
A member of the Bulldogs’ 2015 signing class out of Woodland High School in Ridgeville, SC, Michael Barnett is in his fifth year at UGA. The senior is a consummate veteran and leader on the defensive line for Georgia. Barnett will be playing in his 36th game as a Bulldog when UGA takes the field versus Arkansas State at Noon.
Walter Grant
Walter Grant signed with Georgia in the 2017 recruiting class out of Cairo High School in Cairo, GA. The junior has played in 31 games, starting 10 of those, and he’ll make it number 32 today.
Tyler Simmons
The wily veteran of Georgia’s wide receiver corps, senior Tyler Simmons signed with the Bulldogs out of McEachern High School in Powder Springs, GA as a member of UGA’s 2016 recruiting class. He has 36 games with 8 starts.
