Current UGA quarterback commit Justin Fields has announced that he will sign his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, December 20th at 12:00 Noon from Harrison High School.
A consensus No. 1 rated, five-star dual-threat quarterback for the 2018 recruiting class, Fields committed to the University of Georgia back at the beginning of October. There had been speculation on whether or not he would sign during the early signing period, which takes place this week from Dec. 20-22, or wait till National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 7th, 2018. He ended all speculation with an announcement on Twitter on Sunday.

The talented Harrison High School senior is coming off an official visit at Georgia which also featured a number of other highly rated 2018 prospects enjoying UGA’s hospitality and the Classic City of Athens. Here is Fields donning a No. 1 jersey with fellow Bulldog commit, wide receiver Kearis Jackson (5).

Fields had his senior high school football season cut short with an injury, suffering a broken finger in Harrison’s 28-26 win over Dalton back on Oct. 19th. He had successful surgery to fixate and repair the bone in his finger on Monday, Oct. 21st just a couple of days later. An Under-Armour All-American he is slated to play in the Under-Armour All-Star game on Jan. 4th, 2018, but it is not known if he will be able to still do so at this time.
There is one question that remains for Fields regarding UGA. Will he enroll early in January or stay at Harrison to play his final season of high school baseball?
