Shortly after midnight Chip Towers of the AJC added further details including Park’s Facebook post indicating his departure:

“I just want to say thank (you) dawg nation and everyone else who made my stay in Athens special. Never will forget the people and friends. Time to move on and turn the page to the next chapter. Go Dawgs.”

Park later deleted the Facebook post.

Towers also noted that Park’s father, Adam, declared that he knew nothing of his son’s intention to transfer.

“I can’t tell you what’s up because I don’t know what’s going on myself,” Adam Park said. “I have no clue where this came from. I don’t know nothing about it.”

We should find out today if Park sticks with his decision to transfer or, like many before him, changes his mind.
