Today on Bulldawg Illustrated’s UGA Recruiting Daily we look at several 2018, 2019, and 2020 wide receiver prospects.

As of this moment, Kearis Jackson is Georgia’s only wide receiver commit for the 2018 recruiting class. He signed with the Bulldogs during the early signing period on Dec. 20 and has already enrolled early at UGA. Look for the Georgia coaching staff to potentially add at least one more receiver in this class. And if they do, who could that player possibly be?

The most likely prospects are receivers Tommy Bush, Ja’Marr Chase, Jacob Copeland, and Antoine Green as well as athletes Marquez Ezzard or Mario Goodrich, but out of that group Tommy Bush, Antoine Green, or Mario Goodrich are the three that Georgia has the best shot at. Jalen Hall had been on the list, but he committed to Oregon this past week on Jan. 26th and is likely to sign with the Ducks on NSD on Feb. 7th.

Bush, Green, and Goodrich are all featured below, but I don’t expect the Georgia coaching staff to be able to take all three because there just isn’t room. The Dogs could probably take Bush or Green and Goodrich because Goodrich could also play on defense at CB and on special teams. I think that Goodrich is likely to land at LSU or possibly Clemson; so, it won’t surprise me that that WR spot is down to Bush and Green.

The other possibility is for the Georgia coaching staff to not take another WR in the 2018 class and load up at wideout in the 2019 class. The ’19 class is loaded at receiver and 2020 is shaping up nicely as well. The Dog’s already have the top two receivers in the 2019 class committed in Dominick Blaylock and Jadon Haselwood. In addition to Bush, Green, and Goodrich, let’s take a look a few of those 2019 and 2020 WR prospects.

TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECTS

If position ranking is noted, unless otherwise stated, it is 247 Sports latest composite ranking of the player.

TOMMY BUSH

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 37 WR

HT, WT: 6 foot 4.5, and 187 lbs

SCHOOL: Clemens High School

CITY, STATE: Schertz, TX

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 02/12/2017.

# OFFERS: 46

NEWS & NOTES: Tommy Bush has over 46 scholarship offers including one from Georgia. He took an official visit to UGA back on Dec. 15, and the Bulldogs’ staff hit the road and visited Bush the week before Christmas.

So will Bush be Georgia’s second receiver in the 2018 class? Hard to say at this point, but UGA is definitely in the conversation here. Bush has also taken official visits to Nebraska, on Oct. 6, and Michigan State, on Nov. 4, this past fall. Those two schools along with Baylor and Texas are definitely all in the mix. He also just came off an official to Ole Miss on Jan. 19th a couple of weeks ago.

Bush is scheduled to announce his decision and sign his LOI on NSD on Feb. 7th at 11:00 a.m. ET.

MARIO GOODRICH

<CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 4 Athlete – CB, WR, Return specialist

HT, WT: 6 foot 2, and 180 lbs

SCHOOL: Lee’s Summit West High School

CITY, STATE: Lee’s Summit, MO

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, UGA offered on 08/01/2017.

# OFFERS: 19

NEWS & NOTES: UGA offered Mario Goodrich back in August and he took an official visit to Georgia on Jan. 19th. He also took an official to LSU a couple of weeks ago on Jan. 12th and is just coming off an official to Clemson this past weekend on Jan. 26th. He had been committed to Nebraska but de-committed from the Cornhuskers on Dec. 2nd.

Right now, I think Goodrich likely lands at LSU but he had a very good visit to UGA and you can never count out Coach Dabo and Clemson when it comes to recruiting. The Tigers recently offered Goodrich on Jan. 17th.

ANTOINE GREEN

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 59 WR

HT, WT: 6 foot 2.5, and 195 lbs

SCHOOL: Rockledge High School

CITY, STATE: Rockledge, FL

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, UGA offered on 03/05/2017.

# OFFERS: 31

NEWS & NOTES: A UGA offer back last spring on March 5th, Antoine Green had been committed to Florida State from July 4, 2017 till de-committing from the Seminoles on Dec. 3, 2017. He still is considering FSU and took an official visit to Tallahassee, FL on Dec. 15th. Green also took an official to UNC on Jan. 12th, and he is coming off an official to UGA on Jan. 19th. Green has an official visit scheduled for Tennessee this weekend, starting on Feb. 2nd.

So is A. Green an option for one of the remaining spots in Georgia’s 2018 recruiting class?

I think if the staff is going to take another receiver in this class it is down to Bush or Green, but as with Bush, his recruiting is wide open in this final stretch before NSD. He had a great visit to Athens on his official to UGA, but North Carolina also had a very good in-home visit with green on Wednesday, Jan. 31st. He also has that visit to the Volunteers which could throw a monkey wrench in the works for FSU, Georgia, and UNC; however, I do think it is down to the Dogs, Heels, and Noles.

JAELYN LAY

CLASS: 2019

POSITION: No. 96 WR

HT, WT: 6 foot 5.5, and 217 lbs

SCHOOL: Riverdale High School

CITY, STATE: Riverdale, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, UGA offered on Jan. 23rd.

# OFFERS: 21

NEWS & NOTES: Jaelyn Lay’s recruitment is on fire at the moment. The Riverdale High School junior has received no less than 14 offers since Jan. 1st, including from the Bulldogs on Jan. 23rd last week. As of last count, J. Lay had over 21 offers so far.

At 6 foot 5.5 and 217 lbs coupled with his athletic ability, it’s easy to see why programs are enamored with J. Lay. Those kind of wideouts don’t grow on trees. For comparisons, he is not unlike Georgia’s current TE Charlie Woerner, and Lay could grow into that hybrid TE/WR roll.

GARRETT WILSON

CLASS: 2019

POSITION: No. 18 WR

HT, WT: 6 foot 0, and 185 lbs

SCHOOL: Lake Travis High School

CITY, STATE: Austin, TX

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, UGA offered on Dec. 20th.

# OFFERS: 25

NEWS & NOTES: Garrett Wilson is talented wide receiver prospect out of the state of Texas who has over 25 scholarship offers so far, including one from the Bulldogs who offered him on Dec. 20th. Right now, it looks to be a Ohio State-Texas battle for Wilson, but as you so often here me say about this class, it is a long way till NSD 2019.

Wilson is also a talented basketball player for Lake Travis.

BRYAN ROBINSON

CLASS: 2020

POSITION: WR

HT, WT: 6 foot 1.5, and 180 lbs

SCHOOL: Palm Beach Central High School

CITY, STATE: Wellington, FL

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, UGA offered on Jan. 31st.

# OFFERS: 11

NEWS & NOTES: Bryan Robinson is a 2020 WR prospect out of Palm Beach Central High School, and he has already filled out his frame nicely for a sophomore at 6 foot 1.5 and 180 lbs. Look for him to add possibly another inch or two and 10 to 20 more lbs before he graduates high school.

And he has definitely caught the eye of several major programs, sporting at least 11 scholarship offers so far including one from the Georgia staff on Wednesday, Jan. 31st.
