Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Long story, Cliff notes version. Several years ago I had my swimming pool painted with epoxy. The crew finished about 9 PM. The next morning I walked out and found a small possum stuck to the bottom of the pool.

I may have to man up and bathe in the swimming pool.

Greg Poole Maybe they’ll go back and flag that Alabama player from 2012 for taking Aaron Murray’s head off!

DawgLink must be something about those kids dressed in red &  black that makes them look like it must be targeting no matter what.

ZippyMorocco we had a water main break here in Milledgeville a few weeks back.  I was without water for less than a day so I did not miss any showers.  Fortunately I play a lot of golf so I buy lots of bottled water, I had just bought 4 cases 2 days before it happened.  The stores here ran out of water quickly.

Great plan and you are right, it may be cheaper.

I have developed a backup plan. I have a well that I use for irrigation. I will use that for toilets, and buy water to brush teeth, drink, etc. It’s probably cheaper that the water bill.

I saw an eagle grab a possum one day. It was heavy enough that he struggled to gain altitude.

That would have stunk. Hawks are cool but I like my dogs more. Glad they are safe

Just had a strange experience walking my dogs.  I have 2 small ones, one a 20 lb Bichon/Llhasa mix and one an 8 lb Yorkie.  Walking back to the house I heard a commotion in the trees on the other side of the road and two red tailed hawks lit not 10 -15 feet from us.  They spread their wings and I knew they were eyeing my Yorkie because I have seen them get a squirrel that way.  I picked her up and actually thought they were going to try to snatch her out of my arms but they eventually flew back up into the tree.    Man, my heart was pounding!!

    ok……..Go Dawgs!!

OKLAHOMA CITY — With inclement weather forcing the night games of the Women’s College World Series to be rescheduled for Friday, the Georgia-Auburn game will be moved to Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.

The game will still air as planned on ESPN2.
