Yep, and Jones too. Complained to the league about it and got ignored. If he has any aspirations for this season, he’d better have his team under control. Cheap shotting players for regular game play is a good way to start something you can’t control.

I wish all of you could watch Tracey Rocker coach his group one day. The man says some of the funniest stuff while dogging those kids. He is a trip.
The few times I have met and talked to him, he does seem to be a really nice guy with a good head on his shoulders.

Speaking of hitting below the knees, I looked at a UT board a while back and they were calling for cheap shots against Kublanow, saying he intentionally injured Tuttle. It was close to being a clip, but not an intentional dirty shot IMO. If that was a dirty play, then so was Sutton’s hit on Keith Marshall.

Has anyone taken a look at the new rules for the 2016 season?
Take a look at the rule regarding tackling the passer. The new rule makes forcibly hitting or tackling the QB at or below the knees.
Coupled with the targeting rule, the only place defenders will be able to hit the QB or whomever is passing the ball is between the shoulders and thighs.

I’ve seen a lot of football coaches over the years but I have never seen one as energetic and on top of his practices as Kirby. These preactices are night and day from last year.

GaSoldier I do by the Tenn hype, I think they are greatly improved. I honestly believe they are the second best team in the entire SEC East. This will be their peak year, its all downhill from here.

Thanks Bob. I took a long break after CMR got canned. I know he wasn’t the greatest coach in cfb, but he was pretty good and a good leader for the program. But, he had a good run and some great teams.
So if you line up for a field goal and miss but it does go through the 20-30 yard deep end zone then you get a rougue for 1 point. Same thing for a punt that you can kick through the end zone the other team can’t return. so in a tie game last play of game if you can simply kick the ball a long dang way then you can probably get a point even if it doesn’t go through uprights. What?!?!?
Tennessee will at a minimum lose two games in the SEC. Will that be enough? Maybe.
