Today we feature the fullbacks or players that project as blocking backs at the collegeiate level. Once a vital part of the running game as a lead blocker in the offense, with the advent of spread offenses, RPO plays, and 4 to 5 WR sets, the fullback isn’t utilized as much today. But in a pro-style offense that UGA runs, the FB still sees the field and is key in establishing the ground and pound.

NEWS & NOTES: Realus is an interesting prospect in that he could play either at FB or on defense at MLB at the next level. Teams like GA Southern, Navy and Army are vying for George’s commitment, but he also has offers from Boston College and Virgina. He would be a perfect fit in Georgia’s offense at FB if he is willing to except a WO or PWO offer.

NEWS: Haynes is just the road from UGA’s campus at Clarke Central. While he would need to add some muscle and bulk to play FB in the SEC, he is strong for his size and does not shy away from contact.

NEWS: Michael plays at OG for Lanier High School; so, blocking is not new to him. And he has that nasty, ‘crazy’ streak you like to see in a FB where he looks to put his hat on a player at full speed no matter who is in his way. He is smart as a whip to boot.
