AlphaDawg That is what Pittman/Chaney want to happen and if it does they will have much greater flexibility to match their OL to the various defensive personnel they will face.

  2. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG From practice reports I’ve read I’m thinking Catalina eventually takes over at LT.  Just a hunch

  3. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG As I mentioned earlier, It is way too early to discount Catalina. He has had 7 practices as a Bulldog. That said, what UGA has not had for several years is quality depth along the OL.
Remember, all reporters, including Michael, are drawing conclusions base on 15 minutes of a 2 hours practice – and that 15 minutes is during position group practice.

  4. BahitsAgain

Greg Poole Can you imagine if Pittman is able to develop a true 2 deep line where he could rotate the whole lines?   That would be a dream come true.

  5. BahitsAgain

revtizzy MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Big difference with the heat and humidity, too.  I kind of feel for the big man.  Probably sucking wind the whole practice.

  6. revtizzy

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole I think the assumption that Catalina would automatically be the LT, was either misguided or wishful thinking.   Big difference between RI and UGA.  I do hope Catalina makes the transition and is able to be a big contributor.

  7. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole I know we thought he would move back inside, but from everything I’ve been reading, I’m starting to think he stays at tackle and I’ve also heard that Gailard is going to be tough to get out of the Guard spot!  I like that we are building some depth and competition along the OL!  This is where it all starts!

  8. AlphaDawg

Hobnailboot aka RobG Yes, sounds like he liked UGA but was a Tiger deep down. Probably would have flipped at some point, so I guess it’s better to not have him. The deal with having a commit video already filmed is a bummer for sure.

  9. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Watching this young man and Pittman interact for 4-5 years is going to be fun to watch!

Bulldawg36 It seems to me the biggest drama queens in football recruiting are WR’s and DB’s

  11. Bulldawg36

It makes no sense when we gave Kirby and tucker… Two of the best secondary coaches in the nation!!!! That’s why I hope we can keep brini

  12. Bulldawg36

They might. I hope auburn upsets Clemson… Then the next week I hope auburn loses. Im sick of those Clemson fans!!!!!!!!

  13. BahitsAgain

lagadawg It would be better for us, if they didn’t.

Strength of schedule speaking, it would be better to meet an undefeated or one loss Ole Smelly, than one that has multiple losses.

  14. ronaldo77

Bulldawg36 Terrell seems all but gone and Williams and UGA seem to have a strange relationship. I dont see the public love between the two as I see with others…

  15. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Can’t blame a kid for following his heart, he seems like a genuinely good kid and I wish him well

  16. Reddawg13

Hobnailboot aka RobG I love the leave no stone un-turned approach this whole staff has!

  17. Reddawg13

BahitsAgain DawgDaddy Greg Poole leave my nifty little propulsion unit out of this…..

  18. MMCSDAWG

BahitsAgain Bulldawg36 They have to win this year, otherwise Les could be gone.  So it aint over til it’s over.  If they under perform again this year and lose 3-4 SEC games, then some of those recruits are going to be headed somewhere else!  There are still a lot of variables left in this years recruiting season!

  19. AlphaDawg

LOL Bama played themselves. Caused Stevens to rethink his silent commit with UGA and opened the door and then he went back to LSU. Now they can play against him every year!

    dsw61 Greg Poole

    – home crowd – if we can focus early and know when to cheer and when to shut up.  That seems to be a problem on the first game after the long drought.

    – Highly motivated first year coach and coaching staff.  I am not looking at the first year thing as a negative.

    – More debth

  21. dsw61

Greg Poole So, UNC doesn’t have an elite pass rush off the edge; their OL is average in pass protection; they’re starting a new QB; their safeties are solid but not elite; and no mention of them losing their two starting senior LBs to graduation.

Compare that to Georgia’s perceived strengths:
Elite running game assuming at least one of Chubb or Sony is available
Elite TEs who can block and catch
    Elite edge rushers
    Two veteran safeties
    Athletic LBs.
Chaney’s history of using TEs in the passing game

  22. Bulldawg36

Don’t know how many the bayou bengals can take. Clem&son is after Williams and Terrell. I will be very upset if they snag the both of them.

  23. Colonial Dawg

DawgLink 12 from Georgia (peaches), 2 from Florida (oranges) and 1 from Texas (star, as in the Lone Star state).

  24. BahitsAgain

Bulldawg36 Looking at the list of uncommitted players, LSU is in the mix for the top two.  They might stay ahead of us.  I wonder how many they can take?

  25. Bulldawg36

Im worried that we could miss out on the top two corners in the state..Williams and Terrell!!!!!
