MMCSDAWG Reddawg13 AlphaDawg Yeah It’s frighting. From what I’ve read Blank should be doing kickoffs because he can put it past the endzone consistently, but I don’t know about FG.

  2. MMCSDAWG

Reddawg13 MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Don’t get me started! lol.  Kicking game is directly responsible for 6-8 points per game…  how many games are decided by less than 8 points?  I’m actually getting concerned about our kicking game.  I haven’t seen anything good about our place kickers.  I know the new guy is scheduled to report when classes start.  Wasson I believe his name is.

dsw61 Greg Poole Score Check The kid is a playmaker. Even if he had to scratch and fight his way for a starting spot, he’s plenty good for quality depth

Greg Poole Score Check Jamyest has every attribute that you look for in a CB except ideal size. I’m sure the staff is concerned about his durability as a starter in the SEC.

  5. Reddawg13

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg I agree that is a phase of the game that deserves a lot of attention. Special teams can win or lose a game in a heart beat!

Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina and Tennessee, all are in it for Jamyest Williams.
Georgia was the favorite at one time but Mel Tucker and Kirby Smart appear to be going after taller DBs.

freddawg Score Check MMCSDAWG  That’s a significant understatement.  He started and played both ways at Archer and dolled out punishment on both offense (playing RB) and defense (playing DB).  I know that CKS likes longer/taller DBs, but I think that Williams can be a bit thicker version of the Honey Badger with his tenacity and tendency to always be around the ball.

  8. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Score Check Me either, but if we don’t pull a couple more of our top guys, then he is probably 4th or 5th on our board right now.

  9. Greg Poole

Score Check  I have never been convinced that UGA was a top priority for Kirby/Tucker. Of course, I’m often wrong.

  10. DawgByte

Score Check With Wyatt decommitting from the Chickens he’s got to be wondering, “Why in the heck am I interested in that loser program in Columbus.” If that is apart of his thought process then he’ll be a Dawg!

  11. freddawg

Score Check MMCSDAWG Watched his video for the first time last night.  He’s a tough little guy.  I was expecting a Shaq Wiggins type of db, but Williams is a physical player.

  12. freddawg

AlphaDawg freddawg Bulldawg Bob2 Or see the look on a quarterbacks face up close, when he turns around and sees big Trent bearing down with a full head of steam.

  13. AlphaDawg

freddawg Bulldawg Bob2 I’m still waiting on the cameras built into practice helmets to be put into game day helmets with the option of live streaming. Who wouldn’t want to see Chubb bust off a big run in first person?

  14. Bulldawg Bob2

I think it would be a very big hit, especially with the popularity of fantasy football.
And aye. I could see where you would have to subscribe for the service to utilize the info. Cha-ching.

  15. BahitsAgain

freddawg Bulldawg Bob2 Just embed the chip into the player along with the rest of the population.  That way, we can know everything about everyone when we point our smart phones at them.

Just my twisted 1994 humor.  I like the helmet idea, and it would create a market for more TV purchasing so I could see manufacturers going for it.

  16. Bulldawg Bob2

    Aye Greg.
Fred it would not surprise me if a company or two are already working on developing the system.

  17. freddawg

Greg Poole freddawg Bulldawg Bob2 It seems doable, if there was any demand.  I always find myself trying to locate and follow an individual, especially when I watch replays.  And I’m always looking up players on my computer during games, to get their name, stats, vitals etc.

  18. freddawg

Bulldawg Bob2 I wish someone would design a system that allows the players to be identified and tracked on a tv/computer screen.  Some chip in their helmet or something that allows the viewer to place a cursor over the player and get information about the player, and follow them during the course of a play.

The first smart football is about to hit the market | By http://footballscoop.com/author/zach/ – August 9, 2016 | Football Scoop

“The conversation comes up in every bar and every living room each weekend throughout the fall. The chain gang stops a game down to perform their decidedly unscientific measurement of a football’s precise location, and the friend or stranger next to you asks, ‘Why don’t they just put a sensor in the football?’

    Now, they have.”

They have a lot of depth on the DL and a fairly experienced OL, so that’s a good starting point.   But they’ll need a qb to really improve from last year.  I think Jeremy Johnson getting his act together is their only hope.  Sean White is not physically capable of running that offense without a strong group of RB’s, which they don’t have now.

dawgmum Don’t see him giving in but it is occupying, at least, a small portion of his time.
