RobDawg basketball team looks like they are having fun watching the swimming too lol. its cool coach K every olympics brings the team to the pool to watch

Thanks for the report Michael. Good to hear Atkins is back out, even if he is just on the bike, less than a week from hyperextending his knee. Tells me he will be back sooner than later if he doesn’t have any set backs.
Love hearing the o-line is starting to come together.

  3. Michael Pope

The practice report for today is not too extensive. Today we saw Natrez Patrick doing some light running and John Atkins spent most of his time on a stationary bike. The offensive line as a whole was gaining a lot of praise from Coach Pittman. All of the running backs looked really strong as well today. A story will be posted tomorrow that will be more detailed than this.

I just love how he threw during the spring game. Hope he improves during camp. He needs to not throw so hard though. Just want progress!

JaxDawg  I’m sure the coaching staff and trainers are on top of it. He seemed OK. He went back and finished throwing from all reports. I could be wrong, but I doubt he has regressed.

  7. JaxDawg

I hope he’s not throwing too hard. It seems like he’s been to so many camps that I hope his throwing motion hasn’t changed for the worse. Is it possible that QBs can regress?

Added both the Roquan Smith interview and the Live from Butts-Mehre day 7 practice report podcasts up top in the news. Just refresh page to see the news feed update.

Greg Poole dsw61  Agree Greg. If they thought it was anything more than soreness, they would have took him out, wrapped it with ice and he wouldn’t have been throwing anymore.

  10. Greg Poole

Michael should be on in a few minutes – I think he watched Eason more than I did. I do have photos of him throw on the side – no obvious pain or obvious loss of velocity.

  11. Greg Poole

dsw61 Definitely has a sore shoulder, but I doubt they would let him continue to throw if they thought there was damage.

  12. Bulldawg Bob2

DawgLink  The coaches have had good things to say about him. Coach Smart said he “plays without a governor” and goes hard all practice.

  13. Greg Poole

I wouldn’t worry too much about Eason. He was throwing but was taken out of the rotation and throwing with a GA but HE WAS THROWING

Just realized that Marshall has been at the Redskins camp, four blocks from here, and I haven’t made it down there.

MMCSDAWG For me this is the biggest game of the year. I want us to absolutely destroy the Vols… no mercy and Chubb to run wild all over their D.

    Payback!!!

Bulldawg Bob2 Pretty good Bob, I have to take my wife to Macon tomorrow to see her heart doctor.  Pray that we get in and out of Macon unharmed.

5 best defensive coordinators in the SEC in 2016 | by David Collier at SEC Country

    “2. Mel Tucker, UGA
After losing some key pieces from last year’s team, it remains to be seen if UGA has the depth it needs to be among the SEC’s best defenses. However, the Bulldogs will be in good hands with defensive coordinator Tucker working alongside Smart.
Tucker brings a plethora of experience, which includes multiple stints under Saban and multiple stops as a coordinator in the NFL. So while there may be some ups and downs for UGA, Tucker likely will figure it out.”

Aye DawgByte. I think Jamyest Williams is a heck of a football player and athlete. He plays bigger than his 5-9 and 170 lbs stature – like Asher Allen did when he was HS and how he play at UGA and in the NFL. And I don’t doubt that if he were to commit to UGA, that Coaches Smart and Tucker would be glad and welcome him to the team. But the trend that I have seen from Smart and Tucker is that they are offering taller DBs in the 6 foot tall and plus range. Williams definitely plays physical like Tucker likes, but he may not be in the top 3 or 4 DBs on the board because of his height.

  19. Bulldawg Bob2

He has been practicing more and more with the team.  That would not surprise me MMCS.

  20. Bulldawg Bob2

Fred, I think he’ll be physically healthy to play. I don’t think he will be 20 to 30 carries a game ready because I think as DawgByte stated, there will be some rust that needs to be shaken off that only playing in a live game will do. Once he gets a couple of games under his belt, UNC and Nicholls State, he’ll be good to go as much as he is needed.
