Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Greg Poole So the barners qb is 175 lbs??????  How fast is he and how long can he run?  Might be a short year for him especially if he is a Dual Threat qb.

BahitsDawg MMCSDAWG Reddawg13 I’m with you. I’m a noob when it comes to line play. I only really notice when the QB keeps getting flushed or sacked. I understand the importance, it’s like a foundation.

Greg Poole I kind of like having it on at new years parties, but then again, I’m a man with no children. What’s the biggest annoyance of it being on NYE for everyone?

  4. MMCSDAWG

dawgmum Greg Poole AlphaDawg Exactly, I like the role of the hunter vice the hunted!  That will be a War between the hedges this year and I like our commander better than theirs!

  5. MMCSDAWG

BahitsDawg MMCSDAWG Reddawg13 It’s where the game is won and lost…  LOS.  I look forward to watching our OL progress as Pittman gets more and more time with this unit!  He will probably swap out a few guys here and there, especially against our cupcakes, but come time to play UF here in JAX I can’t wait to watch them big uglies get after it!

Greg Poole AlphaDawg I’m cool with everyone voting for Tennessee to win it this year. Let them run all around with their big heads for a while, then we’ll meet them in Stanford Stadium for some big time fun.

MMCSDAWG Reddawg13 After being on this board for a while and being exposed to Greg’s OL love and talk of line strategy as well as the rest of you OL experts, I am starting to pay more attention.   I watched a little of a game – I think Arky vs. the Gators and noticed a beautiful block by the center pulling and hitting his LB about 7 yards from the snap.  It was cool.

  8. MMCSDAWG

Reddawg13 MMCSDAWG I wouldn’t want to be that DE/OLB that is waiting in the hole as he pulls around to lead block!  Might accidentally trip or something lol!

  9. MMCSDAWG

Reddawg13 He might actually be a little too big and a little too broad in the shoulders.

  10. Reddawg13

Greg Poole Reddawg13 Well Bama had some luck converting big tackles into centers. Are you thinking because of the calls for the O line? He dang sure has the size and strength.

  11. Reddawg13

MMCSDAWG Reddawg13 Right on, if we don’t believe how can we expect our team to believe?

  12. Reddawg13

Someone recently said they thought Big Ben would make one hell of a center and I am starting to buy into that one. Anyone else?

  13. AlphaDawg

BahitsDawg AlphaDawg Greg Poole apparently Bama had theirs broken by a recruits Dad

AlphaDawg BahitsDawg Greg Poole Orson Charles

btw, after googling broken BCS trophy, I think I know why they went away from the beautiful crystal trophies.  I didn’t know so many had been broken.  wow

  15. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Tennessee is my pick to win the East for the second straight year (Georgia received the overall media vote).

So is he saying UGA got the media vote last year and this year or just last year?

  16. BahitsDawg

Bansai buckeroo lol, no kidding.  Finally, they are showing some intelligence.  The stubborn hard hardheadedness following the debacle irritated me more than the original bad planning.

  17. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg BahitsDawg Greg Poole Remember the UGA player (I think a Tight End) who knocked over Florida’s crystal ball?

  18. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole AlphaDawg I am just glad that I don’t have to complain about Missouri’s supper easy scheduling for a year.  Man, the SEC really smiled on them for several years.

  19. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg Greg Poole I still shake my head when I see that UGLY trophy.  WTH were they thinking?   The only positive is that a recruit can’t knock it over and shatter it into a million pieces.

  20. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg The only way that schedule complaints are valid is if the team chooses it. SEC makes the schedules, end of story.
