Today on Bulldawg Illustrated’s UGA Recruiting Daily we look at four wide receivers which include class of 2018 prospects Ja’Marr Chase and Jalen Jordan as well as 2019 prospects Kameron Brown and Ramel Keyton.

Georgia has the luxury of being picky when it comes to wide receiver recruiting with commitments already from four-star, 5 foot 11.5, 203 lbs Kearis Jackson out of Peach County High School and four-star, 5 foot 11, 181 lbs Elijah Moore out of St. Thomas Aquinas for 2018. Plus, they have two of the top wide receivers committed for 2019 in Cedar Grove’s Jadon Haselwood and Walton High school’s Dominick Blaylock. If the Bulldogs were to add a receiver for 2018 Ja’Marr Chase would definitely be a take.

TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECTS

If position ranking is noted, it is 247 Sports latest composite ranking of the player.

JA’MARR CHASE

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 12 WR

HT, WT: 6 foot 1, and 193 lbs

SCHOOL: Archbishop Rummel High School

CITY, STATE: Metairie, LA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on April 5th.

# OFFERS: 32

NEWS & NOTES: Ja’Marr Chase originally committed to Kansas on Feb. 4th, but he de-committed from the Jayhawks less than two weeks later on Feb. 12th. The Bulldogs offered Chase back in the spring in April. The wideout from Metairie then chose to commit to Florida over LSU and TCU; however, he has now recently de-committed again, on Nov. 8th, and reopened up his recruitment.

So is Georgia really in play? I think LSU and TCU are the teams are the teams to beat here, but it’s a possibility. Chase does plan on visiting the Dogs for their home game versus Kentucky on Nov. 18th and if Georgia is to have a chance, getting him campus for a visit is a major step.

JALEN JORDAN

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 101 WR

HT, WT: 6 foot 5, and 210 lbs

SCHOOL: IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL

CITY, STATE: From St. Francis HS, Alpharetta, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on April 18th.

# OFFERS: 9

NEWS & NOTES: Jordan is a big, tall receiver that the Dogs offered back in the spring and is similar to Georgia’s 2017 signee Matt Landers. For the last couple of months I thought this was a three school race for Jordan between the Bulldogs, GT, and Tennessee, but with the Vols struggling and big questions surrounding that coaching staff, West Virginia has thrown their hat in the ring and are a legitmate contender.

# OFFERS: 33

NEWS & NOTES: Brown has a ton of offers already for a 2019 prospect, including one from Georgia who offered the Colleyville, TX wideout back in April. Brown also visited Georgia back in the spring. It’s early, but right now it looks like an Alabama-UCLA battle

RAMEL KEYTON

CLASS: 2019

POSITION: No. 30 WR

HT, WT: 6 foot 2, and 180 lbs

SCHOOL: Marietta High School

CITY, STATE: Marietta, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 04/25/2017.

# OFFERS: 14

NEWS & NOTES: The 2019 recruiting class is loaded with outstanding talent at wide receiver, especially in the Peach State, and Ramel Keyton is no exception. He is one of several wide outs to be selected to the True19 game. Last season as a sophomore, Keyton hauled in 77 catches for over 1,347 yards and 7 touchdowns. Keyton didn’t reel in as many catches his junior season, but he made the most of his 36 receptions, amassing 807 yards and 9 TDs in 9 games, averaging over 20 yards per catch.

As of right now, Keyton’s recruitment is considered a Georgia-Florida battle but there is a long way to go here and expect Clemson to go after Keyton hard. In fact he visited Clemson back on Sept. 9th, and he has also visited UGA (on Sept. 16th) along with Tennessee on Sept. 30th.
