For some reason, I just can’t make myself see Jalen Hurd as a great RB.  Big and straight line fast, and strong as a bull, but his balance and acceleration aren’t impressive.  I sure wouldn’t want to tackle him and plenty of smaller db’s don’t either when he has a head of steam, but he goes down easy on a lot of plays too.

College football: 3 things to expect from the SEC this fall

    “1. Rushing Yards

Last year, the SEC produced three players that rushed for over 1,500 yards—Alabama’s Derrick Henry, LSU’s Leonard Fournette and Arkansas’s Alex Collins. It was the first time in SEC history, and this year, they have a good chance to do it again.

While Henry and Collins have moved on to the NFL, Fournette remains at LSU, and he is said to be ready to break 2,000 yards this year. Also, now that UGA’s Nick Chubb is back in action, we can expect to see him hit at least 1,500 as long as his knee is fully healed. As for the third, Tennessee’s Jalen Hurd rushed for just over 1,200 yards, and Vanderbilt’s Ralph Webb reached over 1,100 yards last year. So if either of them are able to break that 1,500 mark, the SEC will see another anomaly rushing year. ”

freddawg DawgLink  There is nothing to trust or not trust with regards to the Tweet Fred. Jamyest honestly had a good time on his visit. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Most prospects do, especially with energetic young coaches like Coach Smart.

Doesn’t mean he will commit to Georgia, but it’s better than him Tweeting he didn’t have a good time.

66DAWGnNC Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie im generous but not that generous to mow someones yard

  5. PatriotVeteran

DawgByte Greg Poole IMO, he should only commit if he’s serious about wanting to be a dawg and willing to be part of a great group of team mates, if not and he’s only concerned about himself, than it’s best he goes elsewhere.    UGA will be great this year and next years recruits will be even greater, after CKS gets through his first year at UGA and they win the SEC. Top recruits will come to UGA just like they come to Saban and you start winning championships.        COMMITTING  TO THE G WOULD BE GREAT, if he truly wants to play for UGA.

RobDawg  Aye. Rob. I think what hurts Murray is his height, but Doug Flutie and Drew Brees don’t seem to have had any issues with height.

bahits That’s true about Kiffin, another “Alpha Male,” so that may not be an issue. Pruitt was on Saban’s staff previously, so he should know what the guy is like off the field and in the locker room. Kirby appears to be “Alpha Male” as well, but Saban is his coaching father. Probably knew how to approach Nicky with any concerns or changes. It will be interesting to watch Bama this year with those three guys (Saban, Kiffin, Pruitt) running the show.

bahits RobDawg Hmmmm …. beer + Bulldawg Illustrated + mowing the grass ….. what could go wrong? Good times

  9. bahits

66DAWGnNC bahits I think it will be fine.  I thought the same when he brought in Kiffin.   Pruitt had to exert himself at UGA because the administration was used to running all over Richt.  Things went south in the coaching room when Schotty was brought in.

  10. 66DAWGnNC

Bulldawg Bob2 I would say you could always wait until midnight to mow, but a former regular and now part-time contributor already owns that title. I suppose you could always say RumRunnerDoogie mowed it for you lol.

  11. RobDawg

May have to switch to Olympics. Track finals and some swimming will be better than not seeing Gurley play

  12. 66DAWGnNC

bahits I will be interested to see how long Saban keeps him as DC. He will have the talent and he will do well with that. After all, he turned around our D in a very short time. My concern is with two “Alpha Males” in the herd there is bound to be some head-butting before too long. Even if it is mostly behind the scenes it will soon spill over to the sideline.

  13. RobDawg

Lol Chiefs website roster list Murray 6’1 207. And Saints website lists Drews as 6’0 and 207

  14. Bulldawg36

Eason will win the job at some point. I’m not giving up hope just yet. Just like Stafford and Zeier did

  15. Bulldawg36

lol…I don’t this year! The man does have cool hair tho! He has command of the offense..he is the most ready. We shall see how long he keeps the job
