Everyone know if you put pressure on Lambert and he folds. Options 2 and 3 could be used to describe Eason and Ramsey but both of them had the best showing at Gday

Bulldawg Bob2 I used to walk over to the Zoo when I lived in Norfolk, since it was only $3 at the time. Some kids were teasing a male ostrich with two females, and he ran up to the chain link and spit a giant Lugi in one kids face…freaking awesome!

  3. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 RobDawg dont think its major or else he wouldnt be walking around let alone smart posting a picture of him in a boot

  4. Bulldawg Bob2

haws1178  I’m going to go with 3, but anyone who starts who turns it over or makes too many mistakes could potentially cost Georgia the game.

  5. freddawg

haws1178 freddawg If at the end of camp there was absolutely no separation, I’d go with Eason.  But that’s not a likely situation.  Somebody will have an edge.

  6. RobDawg

iPad where I can zoom. In the Twitter people are asking what happened to Quincy. Unless our guy has a brother that’s him

  7. Bulldawg Bob2

RobDawg I was about to say are you sure because I thought Mauger had more hair on head, but then I too zoomed in on the award. Good call RobDawg.

Hopefully, it is nothing major. We’ll know more at practice tomorrow.

  8. haws1178

freddawg haws1178 based on what we are hearing from Kirby no qb has separated themselves from the others. The ? Is which trait would most likely cost us a game

  9. Bulldawg Bob2

Out of the games on pick’em, which one do you think is the toughest to mesh out and pick for week one?

For me, it is a tie between Arizona vs. BYU or UCLA vs A&M.

  10. freddawg

haws1178 There’s no way to know that without seeing how the qb’s have looked in camp.  If one guy is performing better overall at moving the offense, he’s the one you go with.

  11. dsw61

RumRunnerDoogie dsw61 All I know is that receivers were open last year. I would download the games and re-watch the offensive series going frame-by-frame. There was one game very late in the season; may have been the bowl game; where Schotty was screaming at Lambert when he came off the field. Lambert had his helmet off, stared straight ahead, and just kept on walking.

  12. haws1178

Which trait is likely not to cost us a win? 1: lack of mobility 2 : lack of communication in the huddle 3: rookie mistakes

  13. Reddawg13

RumRunnerDoogie dsw61 I feel Schotty wasn’t given much of a chance to make a difference. So you may be right.

  14. Reddawg13

JaxDawg Great point and Eason gets game time in your scenario too. Which helps in game two.

  15. RumRunnerDoogie

Doc R any guess is as good at this point. Cant really go off history will a rookie coach on what he will do

  16. Bulldawg Bob2

JaxDawg  I don’t care who starts, if whoever does throws 3 picks vs UNC, it is going to be a long day and Georgia  will have a difficult time winning unless the 2016 defense plays lights out  like they did against USCe that year in ’06.

It doesn’t matter how talented the QB is or is not in that scenario.

  17. freddawg

dsw61 You could be right about that.  Lambert wasn’t mentally read for what he faced last year and I bet he’d agree with that statement.  But, he might also say that he’s more prepared this year because he’s had a full offseason to assimilate, instead of the whirlwind he faced in 2015.

But, no matter how hard he’s worked to improve, if Lambert starts it means Chaney and company think he’s the qb who gives the other players their best chance to get it done and win the game.  I honestly don’t think they’ll start him for any other reason.

  18. dsw61

RobDawg The players will strive to be perfect regardless of who the QB is. The point is that some QBs in college football have the ability to take over a game and get it done if the offense is sputtering through no fault of his own.

  19. Doc R

I have this feeling that we will see Lambert for 2-3 series, then perhaps mix Eason in.  Then some alternating of some sort during game 1.  Then gradually shift to Eason over first 3-4 weeks.

  20. JaxDawg

I think if you put those stats with both lambert and Eason, it could be two different outcomes. Both are capable of poor stats but I think Eason opens up a whole different offensive capability of stretching the field

  21. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Bulldawg Bob2 JaxDawg dsw61 that last sentence isn’t helping Lamberts case Bob ##

  22. Reddawg13

RobDawg I didn’t hear anyone say that players wouldn’t strive to be perfect, I heard that would need to be about perfect to win with Lambert. We saw that last year he struggled a lot.

  23. RumRunnerDoogie

dsw61 i honestly dont know how lambert is, i feel schotty didnt help out at all last year

  24. JaxDawg

It’s not a question of effort but in that they will need to not make mistakes when lambert is behind the wheel. I don’t think Lamber is the best QB to drive down a field or run a 2 minute drill without the rest of his teammates having their A game

  25. Bulldawg Bob2

JaxDawg dsw61 I understand everyone’s concerns and opinions on Lambert, but what if Eason starts and has the following stats:8 of 19 for 42.1% completion percentage and 171 yards with no touchdowns and 3 INTs? Those were Matthew Staffords’ stats vs  South Carolina in 2006 on the road in Columbia. Georgia still won that game believe it or not 18-0.

  26. Reddawg13

dsw61 I am with you on that one 61. I hope Eason gets ready quick or Ramsey turns it around and is ready. Lambert is not capable of taking over a series or game and winning it. Greg Poole eluded to the fact that last year our O line looked worse than they may have been because teams had no respect for Lambert beating them and loaded the box every play.  Chubb was hurt trying to make something out of nothing due to a loaded LOS. Kirby and Co. will turn this team around but they did inherit some problems to overcome.

  27. RobDawg

Wow you guys rally don’t like Lambert. If he is the starter or anyone else, why would others on the field not strive to be perfect anyway?

  28. JaxDawg

If we play lambert we will have to be near perfect everywhere else to make up for his poor pocket presence and inability to stretch the field. You take away have of a dynamics ability with him and will shift the whole UNC defense to focus on short throws and stopping the run. It will be a long game that’s for sure

  29. dsw61

The way I see it, if Lambert is the starter the other 10 players on offensive will need to get it done. Can’t have any dropped passes, holding penalties, false starts, illegal motions, missed blocking assignments and stuff like that. When I coached fastpitch, there were two types of pitchers. One type pitcher could have a hitter get a cheap bloop hit, followed by an error and find themselves in a jam; and pitch their way of it by getting a strikeout or two or inducing a pop up or weak grounder back to the pitcher. The second type pitcher in the same scenario gives up the line drive to the fence clearing the bases. Lambert strikes me as the second type pitcher. Can win games if every body else on the team plays almost perfect and the breaks fall your way.
