Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Greg Poole First time I have seen highlights like that.  It was 2:30 before he got an offensive touch.  Lots of blocking footage and defensive footage before that.  I actually liked it.  The kid does everything asked.

Greg Poole Nick Chubb isn’t the type to take a day off…   I have full confidence in that!

  3. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg It is very late to do that, but they have to get the number right by August 1 – I think that is the date.

  4. Greg Poole

https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/10187, an Oregon State commit from South Florida who attended two satellite camps this summer.
“The one I went to in Florida was pretty ok competition, but the linebackers out there made it too easy for me,” Davis said. “It was good, but it wasn’t for players like me, you know? Then, the one I went to in Georgia, there were just too many people. It was just, like, way easier because it didn’t really seem like it was for guys with my talent level.”

BahitsDawg PTCDawg  One might think he may be getting tired of that by now, with all the practice he’s had.###

AlphaDawg dsw61 I have been a fan of how CMR coached QBs. Not the “Xs and 0s”, but his philosophical approach and phraseology. His stand in the pocket and trust your protection belief where the QB calmly stands in the pocket and goes through his reads is a myth. I was so relieved to hear Chaney say that 60% of throws are movement throws. I was also relieved to hear Chaney say that he tells his QBs to take off and run if the play isn’t there and he has an opening. Of course Chaney also adds in the same breath…if you choose to run make sure you secure the football. What a novel approach to coaching QBs. Instead of being afraid they are going to fumble when they run…coach them to secure the ball if they do run. I’ve been saying for months that the change in how the QBs are going to be coached with the new staff is being totally overlooked.

Bansai buckeroo So, Kirby needs to schedule them for the openers and open a can of whoop on theirs.

TtownDawg Greg Poole If he has a great year after what happened to him, he would be the emotional leader for Heisman.  It would be great.  No one deserves it more.

If Chubb stays healthy, there’s no reason to believe he won’t have another extremely productive season. But to win a Heisman you have to be on a title contender. Fortunately for Chubb, Georgia projects to be just that. The Bulldogs are projected by a preseason model, which assigns ratings to every FBS team and uses them to project the outcome of each game this upcoming season, to win 9.6 games and win capture the SEC East crown. Those 9.6 projected wins are the sixth-most in the country.
With Georgia projected to be favored in each of its 12 regular season games and Chubb expected to be one of the best running backs in the country, don’t be surprised if he is among the leading Heisman contenders this season.

My wife hardly sleeps at all. I don’t know how she functions during the day. She Also has a bunch of anxiety. Please say prayer for wife if you would BI nation!

  12. Bulldawg36

I knew he would have something delusional to say!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet he had to bite his tongue not to say anymore delusional ramblings!!!!!!!!!

  13. BenKellam

Bansai buckeroo It’ll be hard for them to rate us third next year since we’re going to end the season number 1!

  14. Bansai buckeroo

We just have too many unknowns for people to rate us higher than 3rd….it’s understandable but hopefully wrong…

  15. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole Really rare to see us without a pre-season All SEC pick.  Of course if either of our first 2 RBs were healthy I think they would have been the second back behind LF.   Next year we will be pretty heavily repped I believe.
