Bulldawg Bob2 There is just something different about Chubb.  Looking at his expression, do you ever imagine that he is always looking for a way to either run around or through anyone in his path?

If you are interviewing him, you better be on guard.

Bulldawg36  I wouldn’t say there is no depth on the d-line, but just that, as you put it, the guys there are all young and inexperienced. A lot of freshmen d-linemen will be playing vs UNC.

  3. Bulldawg36

The DL depth is scarse! Could Arkins miss the game? That would leave us. With Hawkins. Thompson. Carter. Marshall. Clark. That’s a very young & inexperienced DL. I’m certainly worried about the unc game. Gonna be a rough one. I forgot one Rochester..but we don’t really know his status for the game either. The unc game does matter a lot. My mother always said if you can win in the dome in September then you can win there In December as well. Well she never said that, but y’all get my point.

RB Sony Michel goes through ball security drills during Tuesday’s practice. Notice he still has a light protective wrap/sleeve on his left forearm that he broke over the summer, but not the heavy protective cast he was wearing to start fall camp. Notice, he is also still in a black no-contact jersey.

Safety Quincy Mauger in good spirits with a smile despite dealing with a foot/ankle injury

Bulldawg36 While it would suck to lose the first game of the season to UNC in the GA Dome, it would not make or break the season. There would still be 11 games to be played in the regular season and all of the conference games.

Bleudawg freddawg Bulldawg36  I agree, Bd. I think Lambert will start, but wouldn’t it be a hoot if Evil Kirby surprised everyone and started the new QB from Alabama, he throws for 3 TDs, and runs for 2 more! CKS is hailed as a genious, and we go on to win the East…oh wait…I just woke up…

Avon Barksdale  Don’t forget Douglas. I’ve heard he has been knocking people in the mouth  in practice. I know there are 18 days to go, and I don’t want to jinx it, but I’m happy with the health of the RBs right now looking ahead to UNC.

I just have a feeling we are going to line up Chubb, Holyfield, and hopefully Sony behind two tight ends and just dare those ACC pansies to try and stop us!

  10. Bulldawg Bob2

No.80 Quincy Mauger and No.89 Charlie Woerner on bikes still nursing foot/ankle injuries.

RumRunnerDoogie freddawg This is true Rummy. Would like to see him in one game though before the Mizzou contest on the road, even if it was for limited playing time.

MMCSDAWG Bansai buckeroo  I see your everything, and raise you another everything on Lambert!

Bulldawg Bob2 freddawg in the grand scheme the first 2 weeks mean nothing, need akins healthy for sec ball

  14. Bulldawg Bob2

freddawg  I am sure they are. We have heard some good reports on the freshmen d-linemen. I don’t think it is anything serious, but they are being careful with Atkins for sure. I think right now, I’d put him down as questionable for the UNC game, but that is still 18 days off.

  15. freddawg

I hope those freshman defensive tackles are busting their butts.  Somebody’s gonna get early PT.

Bulk of the weather is west of Athens headed for us up here in Hall County, but there is a storm smack dab right over Athens at the moment:
