Ole Kasim decided that it was more pertinent to help the Falcons with a new stadium than the Braves. Now correct me if I am wrong but the Falcons play no more than 10 games per year at home and the Braves play around 85 games per year at home. Economics tell me that the Braves would bring in more money per year to the city. Am I wrong?

The report on the lightning day for Georgia practice was 30 minutes ago and checking the radar there is a little t-shower that has popped up right over Athens; so, waiting to see if they have the all clear yet.

Bulldawg36 Agree. Would be surprised if he doesn’t get significant PT this year, particularly if Eason is the starter.

DawgByte  All the QBs had up and down moments in Saturday’s scrimmage.
But I think the QB race is a two-horse one between Lambert and Eason going into the 2nd scrimmage. I think Ramsey is going to have to separate himself by a definitive margin from the other two so it is a no-brainer for the coaching staff if he were to win the start.
I never read too much into who is taking reps in the warm-up drills that the media sees.

Any thoughts on Eason getting 1st string snaps for the majority of this week? My guess is the coaches know what they’re going to get with Lambert and want to see if the youngster can handle the pressure and test his decision making with first string players.

bahits Not much unless the practice is cancelled because of it once it starts because it is a loss practice. Looking at the radar, though, they should be good to go any moment. Unless something new pops up and starts throwing bolts.

Bulldawg Bob2 WOW!   My daughter was on a competition cheering squad for several years, That’s impressive!

  8. Bulldawg Bob2

No bus for Greg and the other guys and gals in the media due to lightning in the area. Practice may be post-poned. Will keep you posted.

Greg Poole It is a very nice facility. I’ve never had a bad experience at Turner Field.

revtizzy MMCSDAWG Greg Poole once the Rugby was over I was done – well I did peek at the Women’s  Beach Volleyball on occaision

Kirby said something on the front row, that I’ve posted on here!! Why would Turman want to go to Miami when the previous staff didn’t play him at UGA either!!! Meaning richt and brown!!!!

Sheffield going juco route is interesting… Kid will land back in the conference.. With who is the question

Bulltoad Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie revtizzy  There are a number of parties involved, and no doubt there is PR and politics that are driving a number of the decision for both the old Turner Field and the new Brave’s stadium.
I think the idea is this is a big time investment in the future of the Georgia State program, which I could see becoming a better program than GT’s given the right fiscally smart funding and coaching.
Is this a fiscally smart move so early in the GA State program’s history? I really have no idea TBH. I would say it is risky. Hopefully, it will work out for everyone in the end.

Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie Bulltoad revtizzy If you recall the AJC ran an article  years ago about developing the Turner field parking lot.  They showed about 5 designs and 1 even included a Ferris Wheel.  Ga State cannot support a football team at this point.  I read last year that they have been subsidized by about 90 million dollars since they started football.  Do they have enough fan support to pay for this stadium renovation and upkeep?  I think this is just the mayor trying to save face.

Greg Poole I’m tired of it and I haven’t watched at all.  Seen more news stories about social intrigue by the athletes than about the competition.

Will the Olympics not be over soon? I want to restart using #UGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RumRunnerDoogie Bulltoad Bulldawg Bob2 revtizzy  While it is not the greatest area, I never had any issues, and it wasn’t far from the happening spots.
While may be not the most ideal location, I still think the Brave’s owners are knuckleheads. You don’t try to build a new stadium and expect a good return on ticket sales when the team is in the crapper.
But that is all in the past now. I think they are going to still have trouble getting butts in the seats until they can put a team on the field that people are going to want to go see.

Bulldawg Bob2  I was there for the first time a media a couple of months ago for the UGA/tech game. It is a great facility on the field. The camera pits on the 1st and 3rd baselines are first-rate, lighting is great. I really enjoyed it.
