Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

This year the SEC generated an estimated $375 million in TV money, by far the most of any conference (we estimate that the Big Ten made $291 million from its TV deals last year, second-most among college conferences). The SEC also collected another $140 million from football and basketball postseason play. That’s $515 million in total, or roughly $37 million per member school. No other conference comes close to matching that per-school revenue – the Big Ten and Big 12 both sit at just over $30 million – and only the Big Ten was able to crack even $400 million in gross income.

Bansai buckeroo Not a bad article to read. Sounds like Gibbs helped his cousin pick UGA because it was the better coach and better opportunity to get to the NFL. If he’s consulting kids to UGA, than I’m not as worried about his choice.

JaxDawg I’m not joking when I say this; but if Solomon visited Michigan in January or February, he would very likely change his mind. I spent the first 22 years of my life in New Hampshire, which is a similar climate to Michigan, and the winters can get real tiring. Then there is the months of March and April where the snow is melting and mixing with the dirt making dirty snow and mud, while the trees are still bare. Yuck! I prefer the south.

godawgs678 Well that’s good news. I’ve been wondering what’s going on with his recruitment.

JaxDawg Sometimes officials are used for schools you haven’t been to a dozen times and that are nearby…    I think I would worry more if I were Michigan!

  6. JaxDawg

I hope we can get Marvin Wilson to visit since Solomon didn’t have us in his 5 officials

I don’t know why poker/potato first came to mind……smh. And I was in the business.

Muschamp was on there as well.. He had some pretty good lines. Don’t tell 36. He might stroke out..##

I’m a little disappointed we didnt get a commit this weekend. Yeah, I’m greedy. I know.

Bulldawg36 After Saban’s slap down of Paul Finebaum, he now owns the remaining shares in ESPN.

Bulldawg36 Because hes a hypocrite. I’ve basically given up on most of the ESPN talking heads. I rarely even watch sportscenter anymore. It turning into a soap opera. Nothing but drama.

Bulldawg36 37 rushing attempts: 42 passing attempts…47/53…415 total yards of offense on 79 total plays run.
