Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

So it’s been decided?. I know he’s a big guy but I thought they were going to try him at receiver… or was that Richt and company?

  2. DawgDaddy

MMCSDAWG maybe not but I actually have no respect for a Georgia native (which it seems he is) who randomly picks another team to pull for.  What’s up with that?

His attitude comes off as arrogant and he lumps all UGA fans into a narrow niche.  As I said, I have no respect for him.

Richmondawg Reddawg13 Greg Poole I think we have 5 of them that are ready to roll right now.

MMCSDAWG godawgs678 Greg Poole I was fortunate to know him really well-I did his Pest Control for years, I wish I had a tape of his call of me killing fire ants in his yard-it just flowed out of him. He was the best and a great guy.

godawgs678 MMCSDAWG Greg Poole That’s how we did it at my house growing up as well….what makes me love UGA so much now

  6. RobDawg

I think we need receivers more than Def players now – personally. I just looked up and Woerner is same size as WRs Mike Rvans and Doriel Green-Beckham in NFL. If he is as fast and runs good routes as the scouting says we gotta gem as a huge WR

  7. rugbydawg79

RobDawg just throwing this out there–wouldn’t he be something on defense at the Star !

  8. RobDawg

If he is as speedy as we think he is what does weight have anything to do with WR? Think of the mismatch that creates. Throw him the damn ball

  9. RobDawg

When you lived in the boonies like I did growing up we had no cable and it was broadcast tv for road games IF the game was on a network, so there was no delay. It was real time and in synch. But I recall many many road games in the early 70s where there was no tv anyway and our family would sit there at home only with radio and Munson and those were as exciting as watching a televised game. Great memories

I’ve been working from home for over 10 years now. Just gotta try and discipline yourself not to take too much advantage of the freedom

  11. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Richmondawg my hope is Chaney (from what I keep hearing) is the mastermind of getting the ball around to play makers. If Woener is a threat in some way, he’ll use that.

  12. MMCSDAWG

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG godawgs678 Greg Poole Yeah I’ve tried as well, but synchronizing everything is Way too complicated and doesn’t seem to work for me either!

  13. Bulldawg36

Well they are about the same weight. But l still think blaze is bigger muscle wise because he has been in the program for a while. A&M had a pretty big WR a few years ago.

  14. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG godawgs678 Greg Poole I tried doing that now, it’s just too much of a delay to get right. Even if you get it synced, the first commercial break ruins it again. I wish there was a better way! I love listening to our guys way more than whatever network is calling the game.

  15. BahitsDawg

MMCSDAWG godawgs678 Greg Poole And before the Janet Jackson wardrobe “malfunction” that forced even more delay between live and sorta live.

  16. MMCSDAWG

godawgs678 MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Almost every UGA game I watched was done this exact same way!  of course that was back before all the HDTV stuff of today, but the delay wasn’t too bad!

  17. godawgs678

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole We used to turn down the tv and listen to Larry on the radio while watching the games. It didnt matter if there was a 4 or 5 second delay.

  18. MMCSDAWG

godawgs678 Greg Poole No One!  That’s for sure!  There may be good one’s but there is only ONE Larry!

  19. godawgs678

Greg Poole My goodness I miss Larry. I got a football signed by him abut a month before he passed. No one will ever replace him

  20. BahitsDawg

godawgs678 So, by good guys, you are not talking about Auburn, Vols, Gators, or SCar?

Bulldawg36 Have you seen pictures of him? He’s gotta be a good 20 lbs bigger than Blaze. Dude is a monster. He looks like a NFL DE

  23. Richmondawg

Reddawg13 Greg Poole he is 6’5″ 250# as a true freshman, why would anyone line him up as a receiver? He would basically loose a year of coaching when you switch him to his true position,TE, as a SO. I don’t get why this Woerner at WR keeps coming from. Hell, your best bet is probably to RS him this year with all our depth at TE and roll him out in 2017 as a fully developed player at that position, especially since Nauta is ready to go right now.
