Wow, that was fast.  247 almost instantly adjusted our team rankings and now Oklahoma is ahead of us.  🙁

I wonder what went down with Breon?

  2. PTCDawg

JaxDawg well we may still get both of them, but I think its safe to say the odds just went down… would be interesting to know why he changed his mind but we probably never will

  3. PTCDawg

Greg Poole well POO…excuse my language…I hate that as much for Gibbs as I do for Dixon…

  4. rugbydawg79

JaxDawg I just puked in my mouth —  If we don’t beat florida the whole season stinks !

  5. JaxDawg

I think the UNC game can lead to good momentum if we beat them. I think if we beat them we go 10-2 with losses to ole miss and Florida. I think we really do beat Tennessee at home

  6. JaxDawg

One part of the game I think is important and needs to show out is our kicking game. Need that on point

  7. Greg Poole

PTCDawg I know that you are exaggerating purposefully but never underestimate the degree to which Kirby has been able to get the financial support that he needs to build a modern program.
Helicopters, jets, new dressing room/recruit lounge — Kirby has the power!

  8. freddawg

dawgathon True.  Until you reach the playoffs, conference games >>> show games.   UNC is important because it’s first and the coaches will learn a lot about their team, but I’d rather lose to them than Vanderbilt.

  9. DawgByte

dawgathon If we beat UNC, I think we carry big momentum moving into the most difficult stretch of our schedule. No doubt UT is a huge game. I want to beat them like a drum.

  10. PTCDawg

DawgByte Greg Poole Agreed. I think he may have been just as important a hire as Kirby. Maybe the best thing Kirby has done to date is getting him and Chaney on board.

  11. AllDawg89

You have fun and hope you catch some big fish!I haven’t had time for anything this year always working and this weather has been very hot after working in 120 degree warehouse I justhink wanna come home to the ac.lol. hoping to get to the Etowah River sooner than later

  12. DawgByte

Greg Poole Sooooooooo, thankful we’ve got Pittman on our staff. He’s a difference maker to say the least!

  13. PTCDawg

dsw61 Jim Chaney cares far more about getting a W than fitting a mold. If he thinks he is more likely to get a W from Lambert, he will start, if he doesnt he wont. Molds are irrelevant at this point.

  14. Doc R

freddawg Greg Poole there is a famous old quote:  Some use statistics like a drunk uses a lamppost—-for support rather than illumination!!

  15. freddawg

DawgByte Greg Poole True, but nobody keeps that stat about dropped ints.   Josh Dobbs had several games where the defense dropped multiple easy interceptions.  It happens more than you notice unless you’re keeping close tabs.

  16. freddawg

Greg Poole Stats are great, but what Lambert (Eason, Ramsey) has to prove is that he can move the offense.  We have all the other pieces on O this year, so numerous 3 and outs nearly every game is not acceptable.   We can’t let every penalty be a drive killer.  Our defense may be adequate, but better offensive production is mandatory for a successful season.

  17. DawgByte

Greg Poole What Blutarsky doesn’t point out is the number of passing attempts. Only 2 other SEC QB’s threw fewer passes than Lambert. It’s easier to rack up higher percentages with the frequency is lower. As many have pointed out this summer, Lamber had a half dozen passes dropped by opposing DB’s. That INT total could have and should have been significantly higher.

  18. DawgByte

Greg Poole We’ll drop out of the Top 25 if we lose to UNC. This is a monstrous opening game. Got to get it done in the Dome! We need the crowd loud and proud for Kirby.

AllDawg89 I’m getting one of those accomplished next weekend. I’ll be spending the next weekend up at the lake property. I’m looking for anything that will pass the time till the dawgs kickoff at this point

  20. DawgByte

RumRunnerDoogie DawgByte Bulldawg36 Yes, he’ll be RS’d as well, but I have high hopes for him. I can see he and Cleveland manning the Guard spots for us in the not so distant future.

  24. Hobnailboot aka RobG
