Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Greg Poole They probably did not like this one either, haha  https://www.seccountry.com/auburn/auburn-mit-25-rival-coach-knows-how-to-beat-auburn

  2. BahitsDawg

DawgDaddy MMCSDAWG Greg Poole It is funny that the rank Kirby at 10 in the SEC and he hasn’t coached a game.

I really hope that he is up in the top 3 on next summer’s Athlon list.  (nationally, not just SEC 🙂

  3. MMCSDAWG

Panic Fan MMCSDAWG Colonial Dawg Bulldawg36 My dads address is Meansville as well.  That’s cool. He was telling me Sunday that his yard was still full of limbs and he had a pine that fell last week during a bad storm!

  4. MMCSDAWG

RayRayDawg AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG  Always best to be fitted by a professional!  Unfortunately there are numerous retail shops that claim to “Fit” people, but they are not truly certified and some don’t even have a clue what they are doing…   Finding a true club fitter is important.  Where do you coach Ray?  I never picked up a club until I was a senior in HS, wish I had, but I did pick up the game quick and won some regional tourney’s my senior year.  I walked on and played with Sauers and Mudd at Ga. Southern.  I was only there a couple of years, but I did get to travel a few times!

  5. Panic Fan

MMCSDAWG Colonial Dawg Panic Fan Bulldawg36 That’s just over the hill from my family farm on Vickory Rd., the farm has a Meansville address.

  6. MMCSDAWG

BahitsDawg AlphaDawg Greg Poole And I wouldn’t trade our freshman for him this year!  I don’t believe Dobbs can lead them to a championship.  He is a poor passer and that will come to home to haunt them this year!

  7. MMCSDAWG

Colonial Dawg Panic Fan Bulldawg36 My dad Lives between Thomaston and Zebulon off Old Meansville Rd!

  8. DawgDaddy

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole No big deal, the SEC has  a great coach at UT, just ask the fans, lol.

  9. RayRayDawg

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG the flex is more important than the club. go get fit. i’m a golf coach and i can tell you that if the flex is not right, it is almost impossible to have consistent face contact. there are different weights of the same flex also. go to a club fitter.

  10. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole might be possibly considering the proximity to uga over michigan during the rest of the year

  11. MMCSDAWG

PTCDawg AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG ZippyMorocco That’s a good explaination!  Solid piece of metal vice a molded club!

  12. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole plus…. how can the on field guys make the call real time, then take such a long time to do a replay call?  it is dumbfounding.

  13. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole I hope the make the calls fast.  How often do the TV announcers and all of us at home have the correct call minutes before replay officials?

I have NEVER understood why it takes so long.

  14. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg Greg Poole it seems the best thing Butch has going for him this year is his QB.  People are giving the vols a better chance than us based on him.  Dude is gone next year, so Butch better get it all done this season.

    hot seat

  15. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg Greg Poole plus, he doesn’t screen much for academics and character.   IIRC, his signing classes have much higher “burn” factor than ours.  (Higher non-qualifiers, flunk outs, legal trouble dismissals, etc)

  16. PTCDawg

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG ZippyMorocco its pounded metal as opposed to having been poured into a mold. i think.

  17. PTCDawg

Greg and Lucas convinced me that Beal and Herring fit better
in a LB list than a DL list. So moving them over here are my two lists of high
value targets for UGA for 2017:
LB: Jaden Hunter, Breon Dixon, Malik Herring, Robert Beal,
Nate McBride, Markaviest Bryant, Will Ignont, Nathan Proctor
    DL: ?

  18. BroDawg

AlphaDawg Bulldawg36 This set was actually in Senoia, GA in Coweta County. I live about 5 minutes from here in Brooks. Woodbury is a cool little town though…

  19. AlphaDawg

PTCDawg AlphaDawg Greg Poole I typically check sizes of 3 stars. When you’re TE is 6’2 and 230 I know something isn’t right.
Now if they were rated a 3 star and 6’5 245 I could see some potential.

  20. MMCSDAWG

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG Greg Poole upon closer observation, i do see some smaller weights on the bar with Ben!   Thanks!

  21. AlphaDawg

ZippyMorocco MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Hey man got to start somewhere! I was lucky enough to be passed down some old Callaway x-14 and Ping G-10 driver. Probably close to 10 years old at this point but they’ve served well while I figure out what I really want

  22. MMCSDAWG

ZippyMorocco MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Right, I had a set of those too!  You will know it when you hit it off center for sure! Sweet spot about the size of a quarter.

  23. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Looks like the same # of 45# as Big Ben is doing right….   Looks like 4 to me.   like a RB with lower body strength!

  24. PTCDawg

AlphaDawg Greg Poole Hey….how come no one is screaming about how stars dont matter? After all, JJ Watt was a 2 star, you know!  :>)

  25. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole It’s amazing how the Vols fans are just now noticing that Butch does quantity over quality. He did it a couple of years ago to try and promote “hype” around the program. The fans refused to believe the math. Now I’m starting to see more of their fans acknowledge they need more quality players. But Butch will continue to process 3stars for 3stars.

  26. Greg Poole

Some examples of teams that are incredibly http://s.sbnation.com/click/6993283.846/aHR0cDovLzI0N3Nwb3J0cy5jb20vU2Vhc29uLzIwMTctRm9vdGJhbGwvQ29tcG9zaXRlVGVhbVJhbmtpbmdz/56c35a748cc2b2c31d8b4576B16bc290a on June 22 due to quantity over quality include:
No. 7 Tennessee (only three of 18 commitments are four- or five-stars),
    No. 11 Texas A&M (four of 14),
No. 13. Arizona (three of 18),
No. 14 Mississippi State (two of 16),
No. 16 Northwestern (none of 16),
No. 17 South Carolina (one of 16) and
No. 19 Oklahoma State (one of 16)
If those ratios and ratings hold, and http://s.sbnation.com/click/6993283.846/aHR0cDovL3d3dy5zYm5hdGlvbi5jb20vY29sbGVnZS1mb290YmFsbC1yZWNydWl0aW5nLzIwMTYvNi8yMC8xMTk3NTkyOC9mbG9yaWRhLXN0YXRlLXRlbm5lc3NlZS1qaW1iby1maXNoZXItYnV0Y2gtam9uZXM/56c35a748cc2b2c31d8b4576Bd09d58ad, these teams will plummet as other teams begin to add more (and better) players to their classes. These seven teams have an average rank of 14th, and I’m willing to bet that falls to something in the mid-20s by Signing Day. We’ll revisit this at that point.
