Hahaha, I think so too. I’m looking forward to seeing him play but I don’t think a hippie commune or weed farmer is out of the question as his backup options in Cali

  2. Avon Barksdale

I think Robertson could have been an instant impact. As things stand, I’m really pulling for him to quit football and join a hippie commune…

  3. JaxDawg

Anyone going to tune in to the cal game tonight? It will be interesting to see if Robertson has an impact. Speaking of which, how would you rate the impact of guys we almost got like Brown, Robertson, Kyle Davis, EJ Price, and Chuma Edoga? Curious to hear your thoughts.

bahits Greg Poole Exactly we have one too…  So UNC better be ready on Punt returns as well!  I would call it a draw possibly slight edge to UGA based on past performances.

AlphaDawg Those Urban Myer boys like their smoke!  He is a scumbag and it will all come back on him just like it did in Florida.  I can’t stand Urban at all, both as a coach and as a human being.  Be careful drafting those OSU players, look at pot smoking Bosa…  I see lots of busts coming out of OSU as long as Myer is there.

Greg Poole Quickest as in 40 speed, or shuffle?

IM is fast, but it is his lateral stop and start quickness that makes him so dangerous.

  7. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole WOW a logical vol fan. One tried to convince me that the game wasn’t even close and UT should have won like 40 something to 17

Greg Poole Who knows what would have happened, if Chubb had not been injured on the first play from scrimage.  I suspect I know.

    UT site concerns:
Here is the actual concern: Tennessee is 13-5 in its past 18 games, with those five losses coming by a total of 25 points. And Tennessee had a two-score lead and/or a late lead in four of those five games.
Tennessee turned its season around with a thrilling, come-from-behind win over Georgia. The Vols erased a 21-point deficit to beat the Bulldogs, but who knows what would have happened if Georgia’s http://247sports.com/Coach/Reggie-Davis-707 hadn’t dropped a perfectly-thrown ball by http://247sports.com/Player/Greyson-Lambert-384 for a long touchdown late in that game? Tennessee had already surrendered the lead once in that game, and the Vols, to their credit, took back the lead late in the fourth quarterback. But then, let’s face it, they got extremely lucky to avoid having Georgia an extra-point away from tying the game or a two-point conversion away from winning that game.
Sure, luck goes both ways, and the Vols got some really bad breaks in some of their losses.
But here’s the point: Tennessee has to prove it can hold its nerve in the final moments of close games that every championship contender has during every season. The Vols have plenty of veterans at prominent positions, but none of those players have been in the kind of weekly cauldron that comes with contending for conference and national championships late in the season. They have to prove they can perform under pressure.
A lack proven nerves — not Jones’ record against ranked teams — is the cause for pause.

bahits AlphaDawg Greg Poole Which is surprising considering 50% of Tennessee is too stupid to install Internet.

  11. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole It’s unfortunate, but UT will probably win. They have a very involved on line community.

  12. JaxDawg

Calloway, they got Tyrie Cleveland, Fulwood, Freddie Swain… I guess you’re right. But Tyrie Cleveland will be a pain

Former 247 writer, Gentry Estes calls UGA a ‘wildcard’:WILDCARD
Georgia had its moments under Mark Richt, but the Bulldogs haven’t won an SEC title since 2005. The tread finally wore off those tires for Richt in 2015. After 15 seasons in Athens, he was fired and replaced by Alabama defensive coordinator and former UGA player Kirby Smart, who was dealt a better hand than most first-year coaches. The Bulldogs actually went 10-3 last season and added a superstar quarterback in the making in five-star freshman Jacob Eason. Oh, and tailback Nick Chubb is returning from a knee injury as well.

JaxDawg Who other than A. Calloway is an incredible receiver?  Not trying to argue Jax, but I think your giving them a little too much credit on offense.  Until I see Mr. Del Rio perform against an SEC caliber opponent, I’m not so sure he will be the next coming of Tebow or anything close.

  15. JaxDawg

Luke Del Rio was on fire during the spring game. He’s serviceable and can make any throw, that’s all they need. They got two good RBs and incredible WRs. Returning 4 OL starters and their defense will be good. I think they will be better than last year. I’m just hoping we make it to that game with only 1 loss. Then let it play out I guess?

  16. MMCSDAWG

JaxDawg That’s why they play the games, we should know exactly where we are at by the time we take on the Gaturds here in JAX.  time will tell.  There has been a ton of controversy around the Gator program this offseason, I believe they are allowing Calloway back with the team as of today after being suspended for some behavioral issues.  There starting a QB that couldn’t make it at Alabama or Oregon St.   They lost a lot of talent on the Defense, but will still be Very good on defense.  It will be interesting to see how this season plays out, but I’m not giving up hope on our Dawgs just yet,  Why not us and why not now!

  17. JaxDawg

It’s going to be tough this year. I see us losing to ole miss and Florida. I see Florida losing to LSU and maybe Tennessee, other than that no one else. I think Florida actually wins the east
