I’m not surprised he is not playing, just that a late find 3 star freshman has apparently come in here and is beating him out….kudos for Pittman..

  2. DawgByte

bahits DawgByte Bansai buckeroo Unless they have the size, strength, technique and knowledge of the offense to play as a true freshman. Clearly Ben has the size and strength, but maybe not the later two.

  3. TtownDawg

Is there anyone here that can tell me anything about the Effingham Co. High School football team? Are they a 6A team and if they are as good as I hear? they come to play my local dogs tonight, and I was curious to learn something about them.  Thanks!

AlphaDawg Seeing orange everywhere you look will make you crazy, looks like it worked on that vol fan.

Bansai buckeroo I’ve read where he’s been inconsistent and in some cases lacking some effort. He’ll get there… I think they have very high expectations for Big Country and want him to start demonstrating that potential.

ronaldo77 bahits you got me curious, so went and found an article posted a couple of weeks ago.

    via Turkey Neck,
“We’ve got pretty good depth … probably got five or six guys who can play.”
That includes J.J. Green, who sat out last season after transferring from Georgia. The junior from Camden County High School rushed for 384 yards as a freshman at Georgia, but was moved to strong safety the next season. He wanted to play running back and transferred to Georgia Tech.
“J.J. has had a couple years in the system. He’s comfortable with what to do,” Johnson said. “He’s a confident guy that’s got good ability and I think he’ll help us. I’m glad to have him eligible. I wish we’d had him last year.”

MMCSDAWG This last paragraph answers how long the player will be suspended IMO.

“Roberts is the fifth Auburn football player to be arrested this off-season, joining http://www.al.com/auburnfootball/index.ssf/2016/05/4_auburn_football_players_arre.html during a traffic stop in late April. Malzahn has said those four players, none of whom have been available for interviews since their arrest, were disciplined but http://www.al.com/auburnfootball/index.ssf/2016/07/4_auburn_players_arrested_will_not_miss_playing_time.html due to their arrest. They are all http://www.al.com/auburnfootball/index.ssf/2016/07/4_auburn_football_players_faci.html.”

MMCSDAWG 1st child means it is a no brainer.  For me it would be a no brainer for any child, even if I had a dozen.

Nobody really gave this kid much attention when he committed to UGA. I heard a lot of “He’s raw.”… “He’s a project.” The fact he was not recruited by any of the Top 3 Florida schools would lead one to believe he was indeed a project. When I saw Solomon Kindley’s highlight reel I thought to myself… “This kid is a bull elephant and just needs some good Pittman tutelage and he’ll be All SEC one day. This kid will play for Georgia sooner than people think.”
Well, it looks like he’s part of a group of players Kirby is going to throw in this year to get some PT!!! According to Kirby Kindley “Gets a lot of movement”, which is coach speak for… “Damn this kid is a road grader!”

Can’t wait to see this kid block for Chubb this year.

  10. ronaldo77

bahits ronaldo77 This is true but I mean this year, in the off season, I have heard nothing about him in regards to RB depth for GT

  11. TeeHDawg

I thought about the movie Unnecessary Roughness while watching his film. He almost took some poor kids head off and you can tell he thoroughly enjoyed it.

  12. ronaldo77

I haven’t heard anything about about JJ Green at GT. Seems like it was a bad choice to transfer to a high school offense and still not play. Dude could have gotten SOME playing time here.

  13. TeeHDawg

Just watched that kids highlights. When uses the words raw and a blank canvas, this certainly applies to this kid. He is one of the most raw football players I have seen. The talent is there and the effort certainly is there. Whoever gets him, that kid will turn into a terror.

  14. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Gotta pull for the local kid…  by way of Nigeria, but I hope he has a great season!

  15. MMCSDAWG

GaSoldier I like being the hunter and not the hunted!  keep playing UGA as the Underdawg!  Where you been GASoldier?   It’s time brother!  Let’s get it on!
