Dawgs, my time is coming close to the end. I’ll be heading out to the USVI on sunday and won’t be back until the following sunday. I’ll drink a strong one for you all….just not in the same night….well maybe

Greg Poole AlphaDawg haven’t seen the fields on millege. Are they not close to the road?

  3. Greg Poole

Kirby suggested that he was not going to have a scrimmage this week. I’m not sure I buy that.

  4. Greg Poole

Players are downstairs horsing around – our workroom id right above the dressing room – I think we hear them through the ductwork. They were in a meeting when I got here. Buses will be leaving in a few minutes

Greg Poole DawgByte Losing the weight was the first sign of positive things to come for this young man!  He did it on his own before arriving in June.  Raines is definitely a bigger and better school than Stephens county.  They lost to a south florida team in the state finals of 4-A last year in Orlando.

lagadawg He is not doing badly. Kindley is doing very well but we’ll see what happens on the 3rd. My guess is that Pittman would like to RS both of them if he has the depth to do so.

Greg Poole Bansai buckeroo Maybe Cleveland is not doing bad, Maybe Kindley is just doing great.

  8. DawgDaddy

GaSoldier Herbstreit has always been butt hurt from the Dawgs whipping his arse back at tOSU.

  9. DawgByte

Bansai buckeroo I have to say I’m a bit surprised as well. I thought Ben looked very good in Spring. He’s very explosive off the line. I think what sets Kindley apart from a lot of our other OL is his athleticism. You combine that with elephant strength and as Kirby stated, “He can move people.” That’s what has been missing along our OL. We couldn’t move people on short yardage plays.

  10. Greg Poole

Bansai buckeroo  Cleveland turned 18 yesterday and he did not get the kind of training he needed in high school.
Contrast him with Kindley who is probably more athletically gifted, a year older and probably had better coaching at a bigger school..
Nothing is going on with him other than being a victim of expectations based simply on his size

  11. MMCSDAWG

Bansai buckeroo Remember those videos of him playing Basketball at Raines HS?  This kid has skills that Pittman likes!  His feet and body movements are not that of a 340# man!  Go Solomon!

  12. MMCSDAWG

Bansai buckeroo I know…  I too am surprised how well Kindley has progressed.  I love this kids story and I’m pulling for him to be a fixture on our OL for years to come!   He’s obviously busted his tail since signing with UGA!

  13. Bansai buckeroo

No doubt Chief… My comment really wasn’t a knock on Ben but jut surprise that there was another freshman who could come in and beat him out….

  14. MMCSDAWG

Bulltoad DawgByte Bansai buckeroo Right, kid is a baby in a Full Grown man’s body!  Ben was hurt by not having the coaching and dedication to the position of OL/OT in HS, pretty sure I remember him playing more defense than offense in HS and was playing a little out of position as well.  He will be a contributor for us no doubt!  A full year with Pittman will get him ready starting next season!

  15. Bulltoad

DawgByte Bansai buckeroo Ben is very young just turning 18.  Kindley is a year older then him as example.  We all need to have patience with Ben.

  16. MMCSDAWG

DawgByte bahits Bansai buckeroo Agree byte, I believe the Technique and knowledge are gonna keep him from playing this year, but he will be fine!

  17. MMCSDAWG

Bansai buckeroo Exactly, Kudos for Pittman!  Kid lost over 45 ibs once he signed and before he reported in June!  That says a LOT for me!  He had quick feet and played with a nice leverage even when he was like 370, but at 320-330 he’s moving like a cat! ###   Proud of the local kid and the effort he’s showed so far!

DawgDaddy MMCSDAWG Me too DD, i was there for the birth of all 4 of my children, even though I was still in the Navy when they were all born.  It was close for 1, but I made it!
