NEWS:
Antonio Alfano is a four-star defensive end from Colonia, New Jersey. He stands at 6-4 and 285 pounds. According to the latest 247Sports Composite rankings, he’s the No. 60 overall player, the No. 5 SDE and the No. 1 NJ prospect. Alfano currently holds 24 offers with the latest coming from Ole Miss on March 4. On April 22 he released a top three that includes Alabama, Penn State, and Georgia. Alfano visited Penn State on April 21, Georgia on April 15 and Alabama on April 13. Alabama coach Josh Gattis visited him on April 25. Alfano is in the Nike Opening finals and committed to play in the Polynesian Bowl. I expect him to commit sometime before the end of the summer.
At the Nike Opening regional Alfano scored an impressive 124.80 score. Alfano is explosive, strong, can change direction smoothly and he runs well. He’s a pure athlete. Alfano’s a freak player that explodes through offensive lines. He’s smart on the field and has great vision. Alfano covers the field well from sideline to sideline. He tackles great in the open field and his technique is textbook. Alfano is an athlete that any team would be lucky to have. He’ll grow into an impressive player at the next level.

Bryon Young
CLASS: 2019

NEWS:
Byron Young is a four-star defensive end from Laurel, Mississippi. He stands at 6-4, 270 pounds. According to the lastest 247 Composite rankings, he’s the No. 172 overall player, the No. 12 SDE and the No. 10 Mississippi prospect. Young currently holds 11 offers with the latest coming from Arkansas on February 27. He released top 10 on March 27. The top ten schools were Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and Auburn. He visited Georgia on March 3 and Auburn on March 24. His recruiting appears to be between Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Georgia, but it’s up in the air until he narrow downs his top 10.
Young recorded 50 tackles last season, 22 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and four forced fumbles. He’s so strong on the edge. Young looks like one of the biggest guys on the field and he uses that to his advantage. He’s got great vision and is patient. Young’s a playmaker and a hard hitter. He’s got great footwork and just needs to work on getting past the lineman who’s covering him. Young wraps up well and doesn’t let guys get away from him. He’s not the fastest guy, but if he sheds a few pounds he may get a little quicker. However, I will say that he can cover ground, just not as fast as some of the others in the 2019 class. With a little work, Young will make a team very happy at the next level.
