haws1178 MMCSDAWG Can you swing by here and pick me up and take me back to God’s country with ya?  ###  I’m starting to lean more and more to retiring for good a little earlier than initial planned and get my butt back to Georgia!

  2. haws1178

MMCSDAWG haws1178 visiting. Gonna be heading back to GA tomorrow. Its been fun but looking forward to hanging out in south GA before heading back to Augusta

Greg Poole AlphaDawg I believe due to his arm being Surgically repaired, he would have been put in a open type device to allow the incision and wound to heal.  I would not be at all surprise if he is later placed into a semi rigid type cast.  Especially once the wound heals.

  4. Bulldawg36

I agree with Richard! I forgot he lived down in Hinesville! Never been down there before

  5. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole AlphaDawg That’s what I was hearing too. Sling. Makes me think he may get a few carries but he won’t be getting a screen pass…at least on purpose. lol

  6. DawgByte

nolabigdawg AlphaDawg Agree, very sad indeed. Thoughts and prayers are with his family.

MMCSDAWG nolabigdawg godawgs678 Especially RB’s = Short NFL Lifespan.  Get there and earn your money while they can.

  8. MMCSDAWG

AlphaDawg  Dang…  That’s a tough one right there.  There is nothing in this world like the love of a Mother!  Unconditional and everlasting!  My heart hurts for this young dawg and his family.  I remember him putting off his commitment a couple of times due to his mothers health concerns, but honestly I had no idea she was this ill. https://twitter.com/bigmandemery our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family!  May God give you strength is this time!

  9. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg You are probably right. I took a look at his arm at the last Kirby Camp. It did no appear to be in a traditional cast (or a cast at all) the wrapping (or “cast”) appeared to extend from his wrist to below his elbow.
Not real sure because I was about 15 feet away and he was wear a “sling” type protector over it.

AlphaDawg Can’t imagine losing your mother at that young of an age. May God Bless the Demery family.

  11. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole DawgDaddy My assumption is he can take a handoff for UNC but he won’t be able to catch bc of it being wrapped up like a club.

  12. nolabigdawg

godawgs678 nolabigdawg IMHO I believe the latter scenario is a better than average possibility. Just a gut though.

  13. Greg Poole

nolabigdawg godawgs678  Not sure about Blazevich, but probably, depending on his NFL grade.

    Good morning everyone!
Loved Huck’s article this morning. A lot of people are speculating whether we can win the East given all the questions. Some point to this coach or that coach that turned programs around over night. Some of those programs were loaded with talent and others not so much. In my mind what it takes to turn around a program regardless of talent level is getting the team to feel like a family. Building team unity where everyone is rowing in the same direction and being accountable for themselves and their teammates can in many cases overcome deficiencies in talent.
What I’m most eager to see this year is whether Kirby & Co. can get this team unified and playing above their heads. If he can do that we’ll overachieve and win the East. Year one is going to test this staff’s ability to coach at a level commiserate with our expectations.

nolabigdawg One more thing to add, I also think a lot depends on how this season goes. If we only win 7 or 8 games and it looks like it’s going to be another year or two until we are a real contender, some of these guys could be gone if they have good individual seasons. If we knock off some of the big boys, maybe show up in the SEC Championship, and look like we’re going to be a Playoff team next year, some of them might decide to stay. You never know with these kids though….

  16. nolabigdawg

MMCSDAWG nolabigdawg godawgs678 I believe you’re right. And if that’s the case, I really hope D’Andre Swift commits to the good guys. Watching his tape, he really is impressive.

  17. MMCSDAWG

nolabigdawg godawgs678 Most likely gone…  Especially if they all have a good season.

  18. godawgs678

nolabigdawg I also think Wynn will stay. Even if he has another good year. His size is his biggest downfall. So the more college experience he has, the higher he will go imo.

  19. AlphaDawg

I was making a pretty long list, but it seems many of them will have to prove draft worthyness this season. People like Lcarter could be a first round if he proves his worth this season

  20. godawgs678

nolabigdawg If Carter has a good year, he could be gone. Same with Bellamy. Pass Rushers are at a premium in the NFL.

  21. ronaldo77

Bulldawg36 That is why Richt is gone. There was no reason why we should not have won the east the past 5 years in a row

  22. AlphaDawg

converted 1981 AlphaDawg All I found was he could be arrested for criminal trespass because of a confrontation he had at CG

  23. godawgs678

BenKellam AlphaDawg I would personally rather take Caleb Chandler. I have no idea why we havent offered that kid.

  24. BenKellam

AlphaDawg Is this why I’ve heard that we have not been on him as much as some other OL in Georgia?

  25. Bulldawg36

I just have to face it. Fla has an elite defense. Even under musk rat we couldn’t score much on em. We have won 3 of the last 5…but the last two games we acted is if we didn’t belong on the same field with em.

  26. Bulldawg36

I used to think that a tougher schedule you makes you better!! But now, it’s like you either have it or you don’t!!!

  27. Bulldawg36

I wish we could have taken advantage of the East while flo-ri-duh and 10-r-c were down. Now it’s gonna be a dog fight to win the east. Not saying we can’t win the but it’s gonna be much harder road than it was a few years ago.

  28. converted 1981

AlphaDawg ??????????????????????????????  What am I missing here?  Sorry haven’t been able to keep up like I used to!

  29. BenKellam

MMCSDAWG I totally agree that we need change on offense this season. Chubbs injury made a huge difference to ppg. Sony is great but couldn’t carry the offense quite like Chubb. Give me whatever bad comes with the good of starting Eason. He’ll bring some much needed excitement to the team.

    Alabama’s phony national titles:
You can read about all of the claimed titles and assess them for yourself at the above link, but the most absurd of all these national championships, without question, is the 1941 “title”, when Alabama finished ranked 20th in the nation, behind FOUR OTHER SEC SCHOOLS in the final AP poll. (Georgia finshed that season ranked 14, Mississippi State was 16, Ole Miss was 17, Tennessee was 18 and Alabama was 20th.)
So how did Bama end up with the “title?”
Wayne Atcheson, their sports information director, just gave it to them nearly fifty years after the season ended because a random LA stat guy said Bama was the best team that year.
    And no one even blinked.
If you make something up and stick to the lie, eventually people even accept it as the truth and start bragging about it.
In 1941 Alabama lost 14-0 at home to Mississippi State and was held scoreless by Vanderbilt in a 7-0 defeat.

Too many question marks. Qb and a first year head coach. Plus Tennessee and Fla are gonna be tough
