Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

MMCSDAWG PTCDawg Yea – IF gUT can get through the first half of their season their last half is a cake walk.  I agree that I do Not believe they will make it unscathed.  Especially when the Gumps and gey turds start placing the quotes from gUT players “Guaranteeing” Victories over both Gumps and GeyTurds.

AlphaDawg Greg Poole PTCDawg ESPN is reporting that Jeremy Johnson just threw another INT!!!

  3. AlphaDawg

dawgmum All the twitter warriors bashing him for being “soft” (and that’s a nice synonym) should feel terrible.

  4. Joe Dawg

Greg Poole  Auburn probably has this years Heisman Trophy winner and the SEC Championship in the bag already!

  5. Greg Poole

PTCDawg  You forgot the sarcasm font #################################################

  6. PTCDawg

Greg Poole yes, with their recent success against us and the terrific momentum they have coming out of last year, I can certainly see a lot of reasons for optimism on the Plains.

godawgs678 Every time I look at a recruit that is predicted to OSU it seems like he has a 98 rating. Not a fan but Meyer is killing it this year.

I am not sold on Jacoby being a goner but even if he is we are still looking to finish very, very well. My guess is we finish at 3. Picking up Holloman and TL would certainly get us back on track.

  8. Joe Dawg

godawgs678  Hopefully RL III can help with Jacoby. I still feel good about M. Herrin. August could be a BIG month for the Dawgs!

  9. godawgs678

We need some positive momentum in recruiting. Last week or two have been downers. Now is the time for Holloman, McBride, Lawrence, KJ Britt, or someone to commit to the G!

  10. MMCSDAWG

PTCDawg MMCSDAWG Right…   Just like meaningless stats..  if you ignore part of the sample size you can get the statistic to say whatever you want!

  11. PTCDawg

    MMCSDAWG PTCDawg hey MMCS!

i heard Brandon Adams ask someone on his podcast…”if you ignore the schedule, how do you think Georgia looks?”…and I am thinking, who would ever ignore the schedule? Schedule is paramount and it makes us look really good this year.

PTCDawg You missed my poll the other day…  I put our chances of winning the SECe at 75%.  I too am optimistic.  I honestly don’t see UTk as a given.  They have a rough 4 game stretch of SEC games and could easily loss 2 or 3, especially if they are close games in the 4th qtr.  Booootch hasn’t shown the ability to coach his team thru a close game to victory.

haws1178 MMCSDAWG Thanks Haws!  It’s tough man.  I love my kids and I’m glad I got to spend my last 2 duty stations here in Jax so they could be more settled.  But my last one graduated HS this year and my daughter grads college this year as well.  I’m thinking it’s time to get back Home!

dsw61 AlphaDawg Greg Poole We need to get that kid into a big walk-n-freezer and have him do a full workout, including catching balls and getting knocked around a little while your fingers, ears and nose are nearly frozen.

He needs to know what he is getting into.

  15. MMCSDAWG

dsw61 AlphaDawg Greg Poole The thing about major CFB recruiting is, there is not telling what is actually going thru these young men’s minds and there is no logical way of predicting exactly what is going to happen when it’s all said and done.  That’s what drives some of us crazy and why some of us just saddle up for the ride and try not to get bucked off!

All I know for sure is…  Our current staff is the most involved and determined recruiting staff we have had at UGA IMO.  They might not finish #1 in the nation this year, but they aren’t going to sit back and wait on things to happen, they are after it every single day!

  16. dsw61

AlphaDawg Greg Poole The only way I see Soloman flipping is if he decides making his mom happy is more important than whatever he sees in Michigan.

  17. MMCSDAWG

IYH_BI Exactly, My son’s team has their 5 day camp starting next weekend as well…  I might not get to see the Dawgs, but I’ll at least get to see some actual contact!

  18. PTCDawg

Guess I am more skeptical than most about so many of our players leaving early for the draft. Given reasonably successful years the only players I think are highly likely to go are Chubb and LoCar, and that assumes LoCar has an All-American kind of year (and I think he will). I would only put Michel and Bellamy as maybes, think any of the rest are unlikely.

I am in the more optimistic camp when it comes to this year. I think our odds of winning the East are at least as good as anyones.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Until, of course, I don’t.

  19. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole well shoot. Oh well guess I was the only one who liked not watching Ryan Secrest

MMCSDAWG haws1178 get ya stuff together ain’t no way I could leave a fellow dawg down here
