Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

DawgDaddy I looked and didn’t see it. I think rookie contracts are pegged in a pretty tight range based on draft slot.

    Recruiting has changed:

“Have you seen any blacked out Chevy Tahoes driving around Downtown Athens in the last few months? Those are likely driving recruits around the Classic City. Someone has to drive those vehicles, and UGA has hired a small army to handle “recruiting” tasks. That’s something AD Greg McGarity seemed slow to embrace not that long ago. “http://www.scout.com/college/georgia/story/1673322-scattered-but-not-smotherd

After the Penn St debacle I don’t see the ncaa going after them like they did PSU.

I bet Freeze regrets tell everyone to call if they know about a violation lol.

DawgLink I don’t think so. This is similar to Penn State. No (or few) traditional violations are alledged.

RobDawg  They will have to get a release from their LOI and if they have started classes, I’m guessing they are screwed.
I saw where one of them is going to request a release. We’ll see how that plays out.

@Greg Poole will any of the commits to Old Miss be able to transfer in light of the breaking news? Or are they stuck?

When all is said and done, OM is going to get slapped by the NCAA. Too much fire to wrangle away from.
