REALUS GEORGE
CLASS: 2018
POSITION: FB, MLB
HT, WT: 6 foot 1.5, and 248 lbs
SCHOOL: Pace Academy High School
CITY, STATE: Atlanta, GA
STATUS: Undeclared
UGA OFFER: Not at this time.
# OFFERS: 14
NEWS & NOTES: Realus is an interesting prospect in that he could play either at FB or on defense at MLB at the next level. Teams like GA Southern, Navy and Army are vying for George’s commitment, but he also has offers from Boston College and Virgina. He would be a perfect fit in Georgia’s offense at FB if he is willing to except a WO or PWO offer. (2-2) Pace Academy and Realus are off this weekend but will host Westminster next Friday, Oct. 6th. CLASS: 2018 POSITION: FB HT, WT: 5 foot 11, and 200 lbs SCHOOL: Clarke Central High School CITY, STATE: Athens, GA STATUS: Undeclared UGA OFFER: Not at this time. # OFFERS: N/A NEWS & NOTES: Haynes is just down the road from UGA’s campus at Clarke Central. While he would need to add some muscle and bulk to play FB in the SEC, he is strong for his size and does not shy away from contact. (5-1) Clarke Central faces a tough test on the road this Friday taking on No. 2 Class 5A Buford. CLASS: 2018 POSITION: RB – FB, RB HT, WT: 5 foot 11, and 212 lbs SCHOOL: Hardaway High School CITY, STATE: Columbus, GA STATUS: Undeclared UGA OFFER: N/A # OFFERS: N/A NEWS & NOTES: Lee is one of those under the radar running backs in the Peach State. He has quietly rushed for 772 yards and 5 TDs on 127 carries in 5 games so far this season. Last year as a junior, he carried the ball 131 times for 836 yards in 8 games for the Hawks. Lee runs with power and has good speed, and he has the type of frame to play at between 225 to 230 lbs without losing any of that athleticism. So what are keeping the FBS programs at bay. Lee needs to improve in the classroom and on his test scores, but if he is able to do that, don’t be surprised for him to land at a major program. So far this year, Hardaway has played well at in the friendly confines of their home games but have struggled away on the road, losing all 3 of their away games this season. The Hawks look to turn that around this Friday when they go to Albany, GA to take on (2-3) Westover High School. CLASS: 2018 POSITION: RB – FB HT, WT: 5 foot 11, and 220 lbs SCHOOL: Lanier High School CITY, STATE: Sugar Hill, GA STATUS: Undeclared UGA OFFER: Not at this time. # OFFERS: N/A NEWS & NOTES: Michael plays at OG for Lanier High School; so, blocking is not new to him. He’ll also line up at MLB on defense. And he has that nasty, ‘crazy’ streak you like to see in a FB (or a MLB) where he looks to put his hat on a player at full speed no matter who is in his way. He is smart as a whip to boot. The Longhorns are 3-2 on the year after a close, hard fought win, 36-33, over St. Pius X this past Friday. Lanier is off this Friday but will look for their fourth win of the season when they host Winder-Barrow on October 6th.
