Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Who takes our 5th OL spot? I think Tony Gray is out. We seem to have cooled on him.

DawgDaddy Greg Poole I go to 12 Stone Church and one time sat next to him for a service. Needless to say, I did not hear a word of the sermon. I was too busy thinking baout his pass to Johnson to beat AU in the last seconds of the game…

DawgLink  The headline is worse than the reality – note the term “not enforceable”
The current guidelines, which are not enforceable rules, allow two live practices per week. The new guidelines announced Wednesday will take effect this season.
Live practices are defined as those that involve tackling to the ground and full-speed blocking, and can occur in full or half pads. Live contact does not include thudding, in which players are not taken to the ground.

DawgLink  It’s just off-season space filler. If they cut hitting in practice, game injuries will soar. All of this will pass when we are successful in in reducing blows to the head.

Greg Poole I don’t think the DBs are going to be a problem this year, lots of talent back there.  I liked this from the second article, “Alabama and LSU are better but the Bulldogs are on the next tier with Florida and Tennessee.”

    That’s still pretty strong company.

Greg Poole I was a young man then, but it doesn’t seem that long ago.  Great play.

Greg Poole Sounds like we are on his short list.  Would love to have him in Athens.

Bulldawg36 LOL, maybe not, I wish Ray had been as good a coach as he was player.  I like ole Ray.
