Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Bulldawg36 They play a crappy schedule, but it is getting a little harder with Harbaugh at Meechgum.

I hope they never make the playoffs again.

Lucas Rogers AlphaDawg Haha I can guarantee he’s getting that crystal from Lafayette.

Greg Poole Jermaine Phillips, good Dawg!   Subtly encourage the young man to be a Dawg.

dawgmum Bulldawg36  Athens on a Sunday morning when most of the campus is still asleep (presumably from a horrific hangover – been there done that) and the local residents are all in church is better than Clemson at any point during the week, including a Friday or Saturday night.  It’s a college in the middle of nowhere with the only attraction happening during football season and during boating season.

Other prospects are in McKinney’s ear to go to Georgia, including several who have not publicly announced for the Bulldogs.
“They have,” McKinney said. “Even guys who are not committed but who are interested in Georgia have been asking me what I am going to do and trying to persuade me to commit to Georgia. Definitely, the guys who are committed to Georgia are trying to get me to join them in their commitment.”
McKinney’s position coach in high school is former Roswell High star, Georgia standout, and NFL veteran, Jermaine Phillips
“He said it was a great experience, but he does not really try to feed Georgia to me too much,” McKinney said. “He gives me advice, but he does not try to persuade me to go to Georgia. Wherever I go, whatever I do, he is going to support me.”

Doc R ronaldo77 Bulldawg36  As I’ve said on here many times, his performance last year is not necessarily a good indicator of his potential in this upcoming year.  He ran the play the coaches called and also had it drilled into his decision making to “take care of the ball” by making safe passes and trusting the pocket.  I’ve also said that outside of MM, he really didn’t have very good WR to throw to last year.  While Godwin, IM, etc. are dynamic athletes, that doesn’t translate to good WR as often times, good athletes rely too much on athletic ability and not good, clean, crisp pass patterns.  I think the coaches also realized that our OL was very mediocre last year and called short passes to help increase the chance of completions and decrease the risk of sacks.  I’m hoping that the current staff actually develops our players a bit better this year so that our athletes will become much more serious threats playing WR and our OL will play much better and help increase the effectiveness of our QB play.

He saying put Trevor on the UGA grill.. Cook em… He’s ours. I believe that’s what he is saying

  8. Greg Poole

Bansai buckeroo  I was doing 2 things at once – both poorly. Should say he has already made his visits.

  9. Bulldawg36

Well I visited the doc today, and my blood pressure was 167 over 95. I think that number will rise some more if Trevor commits to Clem&son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. 1mandawgpack

Bulldawg36  Regardless of who starts, I think Chaney will try to make the first pass a nice, safe high percentage completion to help calm nerves and build confidence.

  11. Lucas Rogers

Greg Poole in the article it says “Right now he is playing offense” Then says he is focusing on corner lol

  12. 1mandawgpack

BroDawg Lucas Rogers  Keep in mind that CKS and staff (including LeCounte, etc.) will recruit him until NSD (or early enrollment date, if applicable) regardless of the team he chooses in the next couple of weeks.  If he chooses LSU again, I think it will be hard for him to decommit from them twice.  Nonetheless, the recruiting battle isn’t over until he’s enrolled, and a good season from the Dawgs would certainly help with some recruits who are still waiting to see if CKS’ success in a role other than head coach will carry over to him now being the top Dawg.  Win and they will come.

  13. BroDawg

Lucas Rogers BroDawg thanks – that stinks. How our season unfolds may do a lot to help or hurt our recruiting of the guys who commit early.

  14. Greg Poole

BroDawg Lucas Rogers  247 should lock their picks, but if they did n o of them would pick until the last minute.

  15. Bulldawg36

National Championship again for them… Real soon. Urban is of the best ever. Hate to admit but it’s the truth
