TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECTS
If position ranking is noted, it is 247 Sports latest composite ranking of the player.
RASHOD BATEMAN
CLASS: 2018
POSITION: No. 122 WR
HT, WT: 6 foot 1.5, and 180 lbs
SCHOOL: Tift County High School
CITY, STATE: Tifton, GA
STATUS: COMMITTED TO MINNESOTA 06/12/2017
UGA OFFER: No.
# OFFERS: 17
NEWS & NOTES: Bateman has been one of the top performers at wide receiver so far in this 2017 high school football season in the Peach State. The class of 2018 senior had 7 catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns in Tift County’s 33-31 win over the No. 3 team in Class 6A, Coffee County, last Friday. On the year, Bateman has 35 receptions for 796 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging nearly 23 yards per catch.
So why hasn’t Bateman received more offers and exposure compared to some of the other wideouts in the state? That is somewhat of a head-scratcher; although, he does have over 17 scholarship offers. However, none from any of the SEC schools, including UGA. It isn’t like Bateman was an unknown his junior year as he turned in a solid 56 catch, 825 receiving yards, and 5 touchdown performance.
Tift County and Bateman hit the road to take on Fitzgerald High School and go for their 7th win of the season tonight.

MATTHEW HILL
CLASS: 2018
POSITION: No. 32 WR
HT, WT: 6 foot 2, and 185 lbs
SCHOOL: Brookwood High School
CITY, STATE: Snellville, GA
STATUS: COMMITTED TO AUBARN 08/17/2017
UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on September 27th.
# OFFERS: 17
NEWS & NOTES: The Georgia coaching staff just offered M. Hill who committed to Auburn back in August, just over a month ago. The 6 foot 2, and 185 lbs class of 2018 wide receiver out of Brookwood is another talented Peach State wide receiver, and there are a number of recruiting gurus that are wondering why it took so long for UGA to get Hill an offer. Do the Dogs have a shot at flipping Hill? While anything is possible till that NLI is signed, sealed and delivered, I would have to consider it a long shot. Plus, there is the question on how many receivers Georgia will take in the 2018 recruiting class?
Brookwood and Hill have reeled off 3 straight wins in a row after losing their first 2 games of the season. They are off this weekend and will be back in action on October 6th on the road in Norcross, GA taking on Meadowcreek.

Rice doesn’t have a lot of offers, yet, but that could change, as he is also a good student off the field with around a 3.7 GPA. The North Murray wideout visited UGA back in the spring for Georgia’s G-Day game.
North Murray High School and Rice are 2-3 on the year and will travel to Chatsworth, GA to tak on Murray County High School tonight.
