Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

1mandawgpack AlphaDawg dawgmum It’s really depending on attrition. We could end up taking a lot more than expected which could vault us high

  2. AlphaDawg

1mandawgpack AlphaDawg dawgmum If I predicted the end I would bet it ends up OSU, Bama, UGA. Currently, our average is 92.31 and Bama is 92.37

AlphaDawg dawgmum first things first, the team has to preform to the recruiting hype for it all to work out

Bulldawg36  Do u know yet if it’s a boy or girl.  I think I had a yolo that it was a girl and even though yolo is no longer around, I’m a type-A competitor and want to win that wager anyway.

AlphaDawg dawgmum  Agreed, as long as both of the teams ahead of us aren’t SEC teams.  As has been said earlier, a top 10 class nationally likely means a top 5 or 6 class in the SEC, which won’t cut it when it comes to winning championships.

MMCSDAWG 1mandawgpack Greg Poole Reddawg13  Now, if we were starting out with a lesser opponent, my opinion might change, but with a big opponent on a national stage, I just don’t see it happening.

dawgmum Not even going to be upset if it’s Top3. At that point you’re splitting hairs

MMCSDAWG 1mandawgpack Greg Poole Reddawg13  MMCSD, I know that this opinion won’t be popular on here, but for those exact same reasons, I honestly don’t see CKS entering his first game as a HC with a true freshman as the starting QB.  Not saying that Eason won’t get some snaps, but I just don’t see him starting as I think CKS is a bit more risk averse than that.  Bama has had more talented QBs sitting on the bench while more mature, game experienced QBs play, and I just don’t see CKS abandoning a lot of the lessons he learned under Saban.

Bulldawg36  BD36, on my first, we went and listened to whales “singing” underwater with the lights out for 3 hours to practice “our” breathing for natural childbirth.  When that first real contraction hit, my wife started screaming for an epidural and all that pain and suffering that I went through with the whale music was out the door.  However, it’s all about supporting your wife and doing the right thing, so hang in there as childbirth really is the most miraculous thing you’ll ever experience, without a doubt.

Doing great 36!! Just started a new job a few weeks ago and looking forward to the 4th! How are you?!

  11. 1Dawg under God

I like the hint you dropped earlier ec. Hope I didn’t read too much into it. 🙂

  12. MMCSDAWG

TeeHDawg I like Chandler better than Gray, so if we aren’t able to get one of the big 5* guys, then I hope we pursue Chandler!  Got a soft spot for the kid from Jefferson!

  13. Bulldawg36

I would but the way cars like to hit me. Lol. Least it’s being done for free….just hate the 3 hour wait!!!!!

  14. Greg Poole

TeeHDawg   I think he’s is an OL in college. I know he worked with Pittman (rather than Rocker) at the CKS Camp.

  15. RumRunnerDoogie

dawgmum RumRunnerDoogie down below he found out but if he told us he wont be able to have all those articles pre written on new commits because they wouldnt tell him anymore lol

  16. MMCSDAWG

JaxDawg From Greg’s reports and the reports I’ve read other places, our entire spring practice was much more organized, efficient and effective!  #ATD! (Attention to detail) this time!

  17. MMCSDAWG

Reddawg13 JaxDawg  Been planning my first batch of Dawgshine for weeks now… I’m definitely having some come the first of Sept!

  18. RumRunnerDoogie

well at least EC knows what happened last night, him in all his secret squirrel abilities

  19. MMCSDAWG

1mandawgpack Greg Poole Reddawg13 Agree totally.  The staff he put together is impressive.  Getting Chaney and Pittman was a coup! Keeping Rocker and getting Mel Tucker was yuge… lol.

Greg Poole Reddawg13  Agreed, and I feel certain that, not unlike CMR, CKS will make some mistakes on timeout and clock management, etc.  However, he was brilliant in that he went out and hired long-tenured, successful coaches to surround himself with, which I think will help a lot.  For example, while the OC from Western Kentucky was an interesting candidate, I think Smart made a wise decision in getting an older guy (and his favorite OL coach) with a proven track record for his first few years as HC.  CKS has made very few mistakes since taking over as head coach back in January and think that his almost 10 year apprenticeship under Saban is paying huge dividends now that he is the top dawg.

  21. Reddawg13

JaxDawg I liked that the coaches were on the field and teaching and coaching during the game. I like the fact that when a unit came off the field they were immediately in a group getting feedback on what just occurred on the field. I have been known to take a drink of Kool Aid, but this time my sipping may be legit.

  22. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Reddawg13 Even Saban has made some questionable calls as a HC.  But, I’m sure he nor Saban will make the same mistake twice.
