The UGA senior class has the opportunity to have the most wins recorded of any class in UGA history.
Right now, that record is at 44 wins; this is owned by the 2005 seniors who won two SEC championships while in Athens.
The current Bulldogs are at 41 heading into the Georgia Tech game. They have set themselves up to be one of the best senior classes ever at UGA.
“I don’t know the numbers on that freshman class when they arrived, but I would argue there’s not a lot of them left because it was a really large class…since we arrived, whether by transfer, by grades, by dismissal, it seems like that class has really shrunk,” head coach Kirby Smart said. “Now, I don’t know the official numbers, but the ones that have stayed, the ones that have pushed through, the ones that have bought in, have really helped our program. They have a chance to be one of the top-4 senior classes that have every played here, which is pretty incredible.”
The teams best case scenario would grant them a total of four more games. Beating Georgia Tech, Alabama, and the two playoff games will break the record of 44 wins.
Primarily for this to happen, they have to win the national championship.
Game one of this “challenge” begins against Tech and sending the seniors out of Sanford Stadium on the right note.
