The No. 12 Georgia Bulldogs (29-5, 4-2) went 2-0 on Saturday, sweeping the No. 4 Texas A&M Aggies (27-6, 2-4) as the series concluded Saturday with a doubleheader.
Georgia took the wins 9-1 in five innings before closing out with a 7-3 victory.
Brittany Gray (9-3) earned the start and the win in the first game, whileChelsea Wilkinson (15-2) came in as relief in game two after the Aggies went up early to earn the win.
At the plate, Alyssa DiCarlo continues to shine, hitting .429 on the day with a team-best five RBI. Two of the Bulldogs’ speedsters in Samantha LaZearand Sydni Emanuel led the rally, combining for 10 hits and seven runs scored.
The Bulldogs are back home in action Wednesday, March 23 against in-state rival Georgia Tech at 6 p.m. ET.
GAME ONE—Georgia 9, Texas A&M 1 (5)
Georgia didn’t waste any time, as it went ahead 2-0 early in the first inning. With S. Emanuel and Alex Hugo in scoring position and one out, both runners scored after DiCarlo connected with a single andMaeve McGuire brought in one on a bases-loaded walk.
Georgia’s third run came in the third inning as Hugo ripped a double down the third-base line to start off the frame. Tina Iosefa then stepped up to the plate and sent a hit to center field, scoring Hugo.
Texas A&M made things interesting as it added a run in the fourth inning, resulting from a leadoff single followed by an error.
The Bulldogs earned the run back in the bottom of the fourth, and then some. Lacey Sumerlin sent one soaring over the scoreboard, making it a 4-1 game to start off the inning. After a sacrifice bunt fromCortni Emanuel moved runners, Iosefa drew a walk to load the bases shortly before DiCarlo stepped up to the plate to connect with a single to score two more for the Bulldogs. With two on and two outs, McGuire continued the action with a triple to center field, making it an 8-1 ballgame.
After a 45-minute rain delay, the Bulldogs closed out the game after LaZear reached on a double to left field following a single to right field from S. Emanuel to score the game-ending run.

GAME ONE BOX SCORE
GAME TWO—Georgia 7, Texas A&M 3
Texas A&M came out swinging early, going up 2-0 early in the first inning. Kaitlyn Alderink got things started for the Aggies with a single, followed by a double from Tori Vidales to score Alderink. April Ryan continued the hitting streak with a single to left center, allowing the Aggies to go ahead 2-0.
Georgia answered back in the bottom half, scoring four runs to go on top 4-2. The Emanuels started the inning with back-to-back singles as DiCarlo stepped up to the plate and blasted a home run, making it 3-2. McGuire scored the final run of the inning as she connected with a double to center field and Sumerlin brought her in after sending a shot back up the middle.
Things stayed quiet until the fifth when Texas A&M’s Alderink came through again with a single, scoring Keeli Milligan and making it a 4-3 ballgame. The Aggies continued to threaten, putting runners in scoring position, but the Bulldogs executed a 1-5-3 double play to end the inning and keep the lead.
Late in the sixth inning, the Bulldogs increased their lead to 7-3 after Iosefa her 10th home run of the season down the right field line, securing the win.
