The 511 student-athletes enrolled at the University of Georgia earned a grade point average of 3.13 or better during the spring semester.
 
 
The 3.13 spring semester GPA average is a best ever, surpassing the previous high of 3.06. This is the eighth year in a row that Georgia student-athletes have combined for a GPA of 3.0 or better during the spring semester.
 
 
On the men’s side, the cross country team claimed the honor for the highest GPA with a 3.43 average, while the tennis team led the women’s teams with a GPA of 3.49.
 
 
Among the men’s sports, the swimming and diving team came in second with a combined GPA of 3.29 followed by tennis at 3.17, track and field with a GPA of 3.14, and baseball at 2.98.
 
 
Equestrian came in second from the women with a GPA of 3.396 followed by track and field at 3.391, soccer at 3.38, swimming and diving with a GPA of 3.34, and gymnastics at 3.32.
